Just sneaking in at the end of the month, the Gated pod is back and this time we're excited to have with us Lex G for a guest mix.

Lex is multi-genre DJ from London and runs the independent label/platform Gunfinger Food, aimed at advocating underground vinyl culture.

This mix is filled mainly with electro, techno and breaks. Something to get you moving.

"Gated has become one of my favourite labels since discovering it near its inception. What stood out the most was not just limiting to one particular sound, but connecting a variety of electronic music that I was able to connect with as someone who collects and DJs many different styles. To celebrate two months since dayglow 01 we're releasing friends Giorja and Laurenzo G’s nearly 3 hour, blissful early evening set (on 3 decks!)

Transporting us from whale call to deep ambient wafters and experimental acoustic cuts, the mix is too far-reaching a journey to be summarised concisely - there’s even a bit of house towards the end 😜

Thingy Cafe's sun-speckled, leafy garden made for the perfect environment to contemplate to the music, although it’s a mix to be listened to anywhere and anytime you find yourself craving calm.

Big ups to Justin, who let us know that the whales were the humpback kind.
