'Inspire' was commissioned as part of the Sydney Symphony Orchestra's 'Fifty Fanfares Project', launched in Feb 2020. Trewartha was one of the youngest of the 50 Australian composers selected for the project, and wrote for brass ensemble.

To 'inspire' means to breathe in. This piece is about the glint of hope for the natural world that we witnessed in 2020. The resilient response of nature to a brief moment of human pause should inspire us. This fanfare uses breath through brass instruments to attest to and archive this moment, and so continue to inspire. This work was supported by Rosemary Swift, in memory of Leon Garry OAM.

When all you have is a chair that squeaks in the studio. Using mainly gates, EQ, reverb and tonnes of automation and following the natural rhythm from the original sample.

This is my soundtrack for the competition organized by Adam Audio! It incorporates two styles: an electronic introduction for then to continue with an epic character created by the orchestra.
