Written for a name I saw on the reflecting pool wall at the 9-11 Memorial in NYC. An employee for Cantor-Fitzgerald. Was a few weeks away from maternity leave when life was cut short simply by showing up to work. The randomness of life struck me. It could be any one of us on any day in any number of permutations. My journal page on the subway ride turned into a song. I didn't want her to just be a name on the wall.....
