The first half of this record was conceived by Eli Janney, Scott McCloud (of Soulside), Brendan Canty (of Fugazi) and Amy Pickering (of Fire Party). It was recorded in 1986 and then sat on the shelf for a few years. The second half was conceived by Eli Janney, Scott McCloud with the help of Alexis Fleisig and Johnny Temple (also of Soulside), after the last european tour of Soulside in 1989.
The record was released in 1990 on Eli and Amanda MacKaye's label, Sammich Records, which also released Swiz, Shudder to Think and a split Lunchmeat/Mission Impossible 7" featuring Dave Grohl on drums.
It was rereleased in 1990 by Jeff Nelson on his Dischord spin-off label, Adult Swim.
