Ah - being told this was 'the best vocal we've ever recorded' and that I should 'lose two stone' all at once was too much to take. There were three of us in this band - I got to lead, for once. The studio was run by a security guard and a taxi driver. We played a gig in Leicester Square, then it was all over. That was for the best, I feel.

Loved recording this, especially as my band mate was, err, seeing a top comedian at the time. Ah Ha! We had beans on toast and hot chocolate from the café next door to the studio. Living the dream. At. Last.

This is the first song I ever sang on that went on sale! Yes! Back in the good old days of the web - there was a fab forum called 'Let's Talk Music'. Might still exist. Anyway, this was a collaboration across the Atlantic. I'm not at all convinced we did these lyrics justice. I believe the song is about terminal illness. On sale for 99c. The girlband was now made up of just 2.

Our Next Place

Things get a little scary. We were in a studio out in the depths of Ashdown Forest - we were never allowed to know the address, we'd just have to follow a car to get there. This song came out. Plus a few more things; awkward Viagra/erection stories, offensive graffiti and some sh1t scary cheese straws.

Well, what can I say. Mad as a cartoon pen1s drawn on a bin lid, with superglue, then embellished with freeze dried coffee. Yes - we did this.

Eurgh. I mean, I'm not even sure what we meant, but it was probably filthy. And not a nice filthy. A filthy filthy.

Make me sweat, until my hair gets wet, don't need no safety net, you know I'm your best bet. The only way that jumble of words could get any worse is if some idiot put them into a song. Oops.

Bless. Not much more to be said, really. We had fun recording it! Chinese takeaway and my car getting the window smashed in, in a very posh area. Such a posh area the producer would insist on cleaning my car whenever I turned up. Probably why the robbers broke in. No one wants to pinch from a grubby car.

How Can I Be Free?

Oh, gawd. I was an avid inhaler of the PopJustice website. Loved it - witty, fresh, everything I needed after the demise of Smash Hits. They had a competition - you could write a song over the 'PopJustice Theme'. Well, I did. All on my lonesome. Sent it in. Not a PEEP! Not only did I not win (what was the prize?), but they didn't even acknowledge little old nobody me. Sob. I might get over it. One day.

Now at the ripe old age of 33, I am looking back on a lifetime of attention seeking. I loved singing, and did it at every opportunity. I stopped abruptly, and am only now braving the songs again. They are certainly not for the faint hearted - listen if you dare!
