The Sunset Selection [Sunset Vibes & Smooth Grooves] (Q2 2021)

VIA is not just the name of our new single, it’s the main principle of it’s evolution: As smooth start for a songwriting weekend, @michiehahn took his nylon guitar and played a jazzy chord progression. The moment VIA was born. After a quick demo recording to catch these latin guitar vibes, @yosev_ and us started to lay down some drums. As we had a fun session that day, the 4 of us recorded the chorus chants, shouting full voice. By the end of the session, we knew something organic has to lead the song. So we did another recording session with a trombonist. By that time, we had been talking regularly with our homie @the_breed_producer, aka 1/2 of @papichurromusic. Of course we thought it’d be perfect and honoring to have them involved as they’re known for crafting a super authentic latin but modern vibe. Luckily, they agreed and refined the song with their warm, organic Papi Churro sound and brought VIA to the next level. Finally, Mix&Mastering legend @lexbarkey ran the last meters with his art and VIA was finished. We hope you’ll enjoy the single as much as we enjoyed creating it.
