I am celebrating my 80th week writing a song a week with https://www.iheartsongwritingclub.com a wonderous community of songwriters. Each 10 week term you are in a group of 10 songwriters on line ( you can go in disguise if you like)and all the tasks and feedback are done in your own time online. Each week you have a brief and spend minimum of one hour creating the bones of a song which you post and it is listened to by the other 9 writers and gentle feedback given from other songwriters which is very precious. It has been my creative lifeline over the last year and a half. The cost is a  few Australian dollars a week and the website is so well put together. The Brief this week was TAPESTRY . My dear departed beautiful mum made tapestries and this is a photo of three she made for me -the one with the ducks got left at Vitoria Railway station at Christmas when she came to visit anD I had to go on a rescue mission to find it ..Imagine all those hours of work lost! The song is about the birthday tapestry with my name on and that special thread.

This is a song about not forgiving someone ..The title 'It's not usually in my nature' keeps repeating like a little hook and will get under your brine for sure...about being a really very lovely person who has been tested to  the limit by someone so unecessarily cruel...a nice bit of 'sing along' therapy..as its a little bit funny too...not tooo serious..Lyrics belowits not usually in my nature . I wrote and recorded it on one of those ridiculously hot over 30 degree day summer 2024..when I was not at my most relaxed...its probably still a demo..but hey there is really no such thing
