Medb, the warrior queen, continues her rainbow-chasing quest...

The second part of the suite features incursions in dystopian sci-fi territories as it is introduced by an irrational synthetiser that later bears the dark baroque fingerpicked guitar phrases. When these structures collapse the synth takes over with chiptune frenzy; a brooding litany slowly builds up and more stochastic noises are heard wailing, until everything peaks in a dissonance. Then the leitmotiv riff is reprised, announcing another ostinato fingerpicking stanza: the atmosphere is of anxious waiting. The whistle tries to dampen that tension, doubling the guitar, but it only adds to the overall neurosis: an ill parody of a celtic standard. Finally something really breaks this hysteria: a funk-ish guitar rhythm. Odd but soothing, the other instruments join the jam. With a renovated but temporary unity of intentions, everybody elope into a lisergic celtic ride that fades into the morrow.

Semíramis (Hydroponic Gardens)

A track composed inspired by the metaphysical exploration game "Kairo". 
In Kairo's dungeons there are no signs of life. Everything is definitely devoid of life, except for a flock of birds that can be barely watched flying over one of the Ziqqurat-like buildings, in the acid green sky. I used to stop in that place and observe their manouvres, hoping, in vain, to discover any hint or meaning in their patterns.
Hence, birdwatching in Kairo.

Part I of a musical trilogy inspired by ancient Celtic tales, mixed with spaghetti western and sumarai movies. 

The track opens with someone at the queen's military camp plunking a dadgad-tuned guitar lazily: the fire crackles and the shadows are long. Everybody is waiting the queen's order. Here it comes! The ravens storm and her leitmotiv kicks in. The garrison marches fuelled by a take-no-prisoners flute, and the quest begins. The will of Medb is rough, non-negotiable, violent. She's pure fire.
