Denmark‘s most forward thinking export Trentemøller announces a new single on his own ‚In My Room‘ label, twisting 60s psychedelia into a modern electronic-punk beatdown, complete with remixes from none other than Andrew Weatherall, Lulu Rouge and Trentemøller himself.

Packed with overdriven synth and guitar textures, live/processed drums and a pacy, apocalyptic vibe, the original version of the remarkable ‚Silver Surfer, Ghost Rider Go!!!‘ taken from the new album ,Into The Great Wide Yonder’ is perhaps Anders Trentemøller‘s ode to some of the many other spectrums of electronic music and noise that he loves. Narly, brash and raw, this is a wild leap into the unknown, all the while underpinned by the amazing production we‘ve come to expect from this ever-developing artist.

The Trentemøller remix version (actually taking pride and place on as the first cut) is a freaky, tripping jam that fuses tough electronics with a free, Doors-esque vibe that really marks a new and fresh sound for the producer. 

London rave pioneer and long-since visionary producer Andrew Weatherall hands in his ‚Prinz‘ remix that takes the elements on a real journey through the fictional desert islands of the North Sea in a spooked-out, bassline led jam. Dub echoes, cosmic filters and tape delay are in full effect in this amazing interpretation.


Finally Copenhagen‘s Lulu Rouge aka DJ T.O.M. and Buda crank up the bass for their slower paced, dub-step inspired remix that works all manner of clever edits and fills into a raw and industrial landscape of abrasive synths and some of the more spectacular elements of the original. Heavy, deep and dope all at the same time!

The phenomenal video for ‚Silver Surfer, Ghost Rider Go!!!‘ has been filmed at the unforgettable show at the main stage at the Roskilde festival 2009.

"Deep in the phone-book-sized discography of Ennio Morricone is a series of collaborative free-improv recordings with the avant collective Gruppo di Improvvisazione di Nuova Consonanza, just some of the work that gave him nearly as much esteem in contemporary classical circles as it did among film buffs. (Just ask John Zorn.) And while it might seem strange to consider Morricone part of the library music canon—a soundtrack written without a film in mind is a singular oddity in his catalog—it’s also a good entry point into his avant tendencies. Contro Fase was released in the midst of a repertoire of early ’70s soundtracks that stretched Morricone’s compositional mastery through the context of suspense thrillers, crime dramas, supernatural horror, and the last wave of spaghetti Westerns. Its ominous string section is like Morricone’s permutation of the motifs in the theme to Psycho, which is the kind of thing most people don’t know they want to hear until they know it exists—but the album also seems at home alongside the orchestral minimalism of Philip Glass and Kronos Quartet."

A wonderful blend of organic rhythms and weird electronic sounds from groundbreaking sound library artist Egisto Macchi – served up here on a record that is posibly on of his best. Truly a compelling work, with a range of styles from minimalist soundtrack music, to fairly dramatic grooves with squeaky sounds, plonking string instruments, illustrative percussion, whistling and howling.  A walk through the city and it's parks by night with your own breath and footsteps, birds singing, hissing insects and neon lights. Citta Notte’s heady melange of cosmopolitan folk tropes, abstract sonic gestures, distressed and scattering percussion, beatific melodies and ominous VCS3 drones exists in a sublime universe all of its own.

Atmospheric, smokey, urbane and sophisticated “Citta Notte” is a seamless and stunningly timeless jewel in the expanding cosmology of rediscovering Library/Production music. Haunting, profound and hypnotic, one of the rarest Library LPs is no doubt also one of the most beautiful and rewarding.

"On the occasion of the exhibition "Across the movies", a meeting between cinema and music, Godblesscomputers gives us a seven track album, re-working of some classics by the "BEASTIE BOYS". 
The songs, originally composed from samples and scratch with their unmistakable old school flavor, have a renewed and unusual appeal. 
Where once the roots were raw and tightened by funk/rock, now are born downtempo tunes, evocative, atmospheric, and tinged with a soft and organic "rhythm & blues" feel. 
This music producer from Ravenna has not blunted the rhymed edges of the BEASTIE BOYS in the slightest. Indeed, he has wrapped them in a thick metropolitan fog made of dusty rhodes (We got the), abandoned spirituals between the corners of the streets (That's it, that's all / Brr Stick'em), urban tension (Hey fuck you), beer and burritos (Oh word), clubs dripping sweat (Triple trouble), lonely night buses and morning newspapers (3 the hard way), distilling their raps in a "sweet poison" but still always killer."
