Ahoi,
euer Käpt’n segelte letztens mal wieder gedankenverloren im Indischen Ozean kreuz und quer hin und her, beschäftigt mit der einen Frage: Welche luxuriöse Yacht könnte er entern und sich derer Schätze und Rum-Vorräte annehmen? Mit der letzten Flasche Rum im Ausguck sitzend erspähte er ein Schiff und je näher er diesem kam um so deutlicher hörte er Stimmen, welche über das Wasser zu ihm drangen. Euer Käpt’n vernahm Worte wie Schatzinsel, Rum, Schatzkiste, Gold und Meuterei. Das klang ganz nach seinem Geschmack und er legte sich auf die Lauer. Was er zu diesem Zeitpunkt noch nicht wusste, auf selbigem Schiff übte sich http://soundcloud.com/andres-remix im Piraten- und Soundhandwerk, um bei der Seasidetrip Crew anzumustern. So kam es, das euer Käpt’n dem André hinterher segelte und im Schatten eines Felsen beobachtete wie der André seinen Schatz, das schwarze Gold an Land schaffte und dort sein Soundsystem aufbaute. Ihr könnt euch denken, dass das euren Käpt’n erfreute und er sofort klar Schiff machte, um an Land zu gehen. André: Jo Ho Hoo und ne' Buddel voll Rum - Habe mal meine Schatzkiste geöffnet und ein paar elektronische Perlen neuerer und älterer Herkunft ausgepackt. Würde mich freuen, wenn ihr bei ruhiger See, wenn die Abende jetzt länger werden, euch einen Drink gönnt und der Musik lauscht oder vor euch hin tanzt. Muss ja nicht gleich eine ganze Flasche Rum sein, dann klappt es vielleicht mit den Likes und comments nicht mehr ;-)) über die ich mich natürlich freuen würde.

Seasidetrip 26 by Andre Stabo - Treasure Island Mix

After some delay, here it is: Rotary Connection Volume 2.

Recorded with vinyl on Technics 1210s, Urei 1620 mixer, Pioneer EFX1000 and a couple of turntable weights courtesy of the good people at Mastersounds UK.
I've decided to make the download available only as a WAV file - to maintain the highest quality audio. Don't ask me for an mp3!!

The first volume of this focused on Disco, and it had always been my intention to change it up for this edition. I've been in reflective mode this week, due to the passing of the legendary Frankie Knuckles, so it seemed timely to put out a mix - a tribute to the enduring legacy he helped birth. House.

Rotary Connection Volume Two

After the very successful foray into split EPs, Luv Shack Records continues to explore this concept with LUV013. The EP sees upcoming duo Space Echo make a return after their smash hit "Soul Power", while the B-side is conducted by Wahlberliner ROTCIV.

"Come Back Home", the opening track by Space Echo, is a slowly building but effortlessly captivating piece of hypnotic house music with a raw funk attitude. The gently evolving synth line and the strong vocal hook are the spine of this anthemic track.

The seemingly laid back "Hangover" just oozes b-movie sleaze and might be Space Echos little hommage to 60's lounge music, with an array of distorted guitars and soft pads coming to good use. That is until the synth theme kicks in mid-track and turns the piece into a late night weapon.

Atjazz was one of the forerunners of the broken beat and nu-jazz scene, producing tracks like 'Touch The Sun'. Recent collaborations with the likes of Osunlade have combined soul, jazz-funk and africanism into the deepest house grooves. You can check them out on his weekly 'Your Soul' podcast.

Karizma aka Kaytronik is a house music artist in the purist form. His back catalogue includes releases on the likes of R2 Records, Objektivity and Strictly Rhythm while the man has worked with legends like Kenny Dope, Roy Ayers and even J Dilla.

As Exist they combine their talents to bring you a truly unique live performance.
