It’s a botched hero’s journey sung to a major key in front of a wall of electric guitars. Produced by the multi-talented Erik Groysman (S.E. Webster, Cape Weather, Drunk History) who rips some sick guitar solos and holds down the bass guitar and Eric Jackowitz (The Cooties, Wolves of Glendale) on drums.

Autumn In America

There Goes Summer is a remastered collection of 13 songs written, recorded and previously released on YouTube from 2010 to 2014. These songs center around my blossoming love for Mary Doodles - her artwork that is inextricably linked to this music - and the difficulties of maintaining a work/life balance when I felt I was both never working and always working. It was a beautiful distortion of time that I wouldn’t trade for anything. A frustrating privilege whose output I hope you enjoy now.

Fall 2010 - Recorded in Raf Serrano’s garage in Pacoima, CA. It was written as a pep talk to a loved one and myself and you. 

2. Space Cadet
Fall 2011 - Mixed by Raf Serrano. MIDI pop-punk for my ADD. 

3. Don’t Need a Map
Summer 2012 - Additional vocals by Greg Alexander. Mixed by Raf Serrano. Inspired by a beaver/panda collaboration with Jesse Cale. A song of fresh air and willful arrogance. 

4. Art of Balancing
Spring 2011 - A sweet little ukulele song of longing. Video includes a cute little studio tour.

Winter 2013 - It would be trivial to call this another Valentine’s Day song. It’s an epitaph.

13. Compensate Me 
Winter 2011 - It felt like the right/most professional thing to do would be to end this collection of songs with The Last Page, but in keeping with the spirit of my impulsive, erratic, and disjointed output of music during this time period, let’s end with a song almost nobody liked.
