Gizmo876 (Shakielle Powell) is a Jamaican lyrical sensation who uses words in unexpected ways to tell vivid stories. His style and flows are what set him apart from his peers in a saturated Dancehall space.

His musical journey started in high school, at deCarteret College in Mandeville, and continued throughout his University life where he studied Computer Science at The University of the West Indies (UWI).

Upon beginning studies at the UWI, Mona, Gizmo876 started producing music. He eventually sold some beats in his first year, one of which came full circle and was used by popular Dancehall artiste, Masicka, on One Don.

Gizmo876 is heavily influenced by Vybz Kartel, Aidonia, and Eminem. Other influences from the hip-hop arena are Hopsin, Lil Wayne and Tech N9ne.

His debut single, One Dream (produced by YowLevite), surrounds themes of not giving up and how believing in your dreams can be powerful. He promises to branch out and work with unexpected entities to diversify his craft - producing a vibe that will defy genre boundaries. The first of this wave is Wild, a collaboration with Chris Now and Ray Brian from The Netherlands, followed by Urban Mode, produced by Dev On Productions out of the UK.
