Scotchtown Road

What would you call this?  The beat is softer / slower than true Trance, and the guitars dominate.  But it's closer to Trance than to PostRock.

So, it's an instrumental experiment.  Originally written for piano, but grooves with a sharp dobro and a rumbling bass.

The leaves once bleak we may come to celebrate...

This began as a piano piece, trying to capture the sounds of a spring rain.  But, in digging my old scores off dusty hard drives, I've discovered new lights with arrangements and elaborations. 

As I refined this piece, my thoughts grew distant, to friendship in times of ponderous days of uncertainty, but also to a future that shines with the gleam of breaking sun on the shimmering leaves.
