Steyoyoke's Family Affair Vol.03 continues its tradition and delivers a remix compilation like no other. Bringing together a collective of musically spirited minds, each artist has created their own interpretations from some of Steyoyoke's best tracks over the last 12 months.

First up Soul Button dishes out his remix of Dahu's ‘North’, which maintains the originals dark twisted elegance, however Soul Button adds a little extra percussive shine to this track. 

Track number two is Nick Devon's version of Soul Button & Sasch's ‘Unfold’. With relentless drive and energy, this remix is perfectly balanced with plenty of warm synths and uplifting chord progressions. 

Sasch takes on the next remix, which is for Dahu's ‘How Do They Know’. Sasch brings an upbeat disco tech vibe to this track, with decadent melodies and a killer drop.

Soul Button & Sasch's ‘Little People’ is remixed by Dahu and with it's upfront bass lines and dirty dark grooves, it draws you in with it's underground techno sound.

The fifth track is BLANCAh's ‘Who's That’ and it's MPathy who steps up, creating a beautifully crafted remix that has a lot of bounce and punch to it. This track is clean, crisp and totally organic in its overall sound and feel.

The last remix is from BLANCAh, offering up her version of Sasch's ‘Missing You’. With finely woven soundscapes and intricate layering, BLANCAh extracts some of the darkest elements of 'Missing You', adding a whole new dimension and depth to this track.

Fresh off the back of his recent ‘Gypsy’ EP on Nic Fanciulli’s Saved Recordings imprint, Ray Okpara returns to the mobilee stable with a deliciously dark double hitter. With his half-Nigerian roots, he’s often known for rhythmically intricate music productions built on addictive, loop-driven beats. Here however, he interestingly he opts to let the bassline, melody, and atmospherics do the talking instead.

Title track ‘Sugar Feel’ is a funky dub-roller with a warped vocal sample flitting through a seductive whirlpool of FX-laden chords and stabs. A mechanoid synth pulses in and out of focus, as if an electrical charge is flowing directly through the listener’s brain. A muscular tech-house beat marches through the miasma and skilfully manages to reign it in without it becoming too heady, making it ideal for peak-time moments as well as late night excursions

‘Ostroff’ is a veritable beast, an absolute party starter with a weapons-grade bassline which cruises beneath the surface like a chrome-plated shark on full alert mode. Skilfully deployed volleys of percussive stabs and vocal chops litter throughout, always giving the thunderous low-end room to breathe.

Around this time last year the German producers dropped one of our most popular mixes of 2013, showcasing their trademark style which effortlessly bridges the gap between techno and tech-house.

Their latest EP 'Line Of Fire' will be released on Beatport on November 10 and it's more of the excellent same from the pair. The three-tracker contains a cut called 'Right On Track' and this a prime example of the sort of rollers Booka Shade are capable of creating.

You can expect big basslines, prolonged builds and drops that are guaranteed to inspire a trot. Check it

Hello, I’m launching a new site dedicated to provide you with new music that you won’t be able to find anywhere else. There will be 6 parts, and every one of them will be free for members of the site.

This first track, called Arc, was one of my first experiments with some new analogue synths recently - the Moog Minituar, and the Dave Smith Instruments Prophet 08. I wanted to make something smooth and melodic which would work for my club sets, and would be mixable, but nothing too peak time intense, something a little softer. I think the heart of the track really all came down to squeesing the main riff with those lovely analogue filters!

To be free, means to be a freak. Whether as a DJ, label manager, T-Shirt creator or all-round talent – since two decades, Ellen Allien is one of Berlin’s exceptional phenomena that have created her own universe with the combination of old school-based underground love and contemporary experimental spirit. After the lovely musical affair with Thomas Muller for the track „Free Nation“, for her new solo release we hear the anniversary bells ringing. The three tracks – which are co-produced by Martin Eyerer and Skinnerbox – already mark the 300th catalog number of BPitch Control.
The „Freak EP“ is not only the result of the last months in Berlin; it also flags up the change to Ibiza, where Ellen uses the warm season to spray her positive vibe during her residency in DC 10. „Butterfly“ acts like the kick-off and not only host graceful 808 pinpricks, with the dreamy melody in the background a nostalgic aura raises that reveals Ellen’s warmer side. Especially the bass rumble emphasizes the physicality of her music in an impressive manner – in short: pure love. „Come To
Me“ is desire and passion within seven and a half minutes. In addition to the deep house frame groovy beats pushes in the foreground that sets free a hypnotic mantra. Spineless dancefloor magic that rewinds time with the haunting rave signal, floating Roland synths and the SH101 raveline. With the title track „Freak The Night Away“, Ellen once more succeeded in creating a hymn that embodies both the slogan of every great night as well as the strong atmosphere of her energetic DJ sets. Again, we hear Ellen’s charming voice – crazy, playful, creative. Following the motto: just go! With rattling claps and a warm bass, dancing won’t become a compulsion; the track clearly goes under the skin with its 303 acid hints as well as Roland piano sounds and opens the gate to another dimension.
