Since the early 2000’s Dan Church has been sharing his love for electronic music across dance floors and air waves in Alaska, Hawaii, Nevada and Arizona under the various pseudonyms of DJ ChurcH, Devious, Psyox, d. church and d.Umbo. His initial forays into the underground rave culture introduced him to popular artists like Prodigy, Chemical Brothers and the Crystal Method; but it was the sounds of Armin Van Buuren, Tiesto, Carl Cox and Mark Farina that truly inspired him to become a DJ. Over the years Dan has explored many styles of electronic music through his artistry but always finds his focus returning to House and Techno with their ever-expanding sub-genres.

Currently residing back in Anchorage Alaska (where he started his DJ career), Dan has been volunteering a significant amount of his play time to help build up the local scene through efforts to establish a sustainable community that is committed to supporting live events. By performing at various fundraising events, club nights, multi-day campouts and public radio shows he hopes to expand peoples understanding and appreciation of electronic music. In addition to performing, Dan has also begun mentoring up and coming DJs in the area with the hope that by sharing his passion and experience he can help to encourage the next generation of artists.

Always on the hunt to find new melodies and unique sounds to share with his fans, Dan feels his specialty is creating studio mixes that really take the listener on a journey. His most recent projects have been focused on the sounds of Organic House, Progressive and Melodic House. Dan has just released a new mix series called, “Magic Feather” under the alias, “d.Umbo”. This collection is focused on highlighting Eastern style beats and melodies while showcasing a different electronic music genre for each part in the series. Parts 1-3 are currently available on SoundCloud for your listening pleasure, with parts 4-6 in the works.

About :river is Estonian unique collaborative project between father and son. Their productions tell a dynamic and sometimes epic story that happens to be set in a dance-groove environment. 

Conceptualized by father Oleg in 2018, the following year saw his 12 year old son Ervin join the project. Initially, a clarinet and keyboard player, Ervin quickly became a committed member of the project, contributing not only to live performances but also in the creative process, writing the main themes of their musical creations.
