This Swedish entity contributed to live, real and in circumstantial surroundings. Mr. Eargoggle has a huge impact on the electro scene. Grown up listening to the electro funk sound of Egyptian Lover and similar funkateers, Luke Eargoggle, aka Lukas Pettersson, now lives by the beach in Sweden where he makes music in peace.  Luke maintains the record label Stilleben Records and released some of his ultra funky electro tracks through Dutch label Bunker Records, German label Kommando 6 and more. Tonight its back to back with his son Dataintrång! Electro is a nonstop routine.

New chapter of Gladiocast series, this time we welcome Chris Nexus 6,  French activist involved into the electronic scene since 1995. Over the years, Chris has managed to build a solid network of artists and label owners worldwide. As a writer, his regular efforts to introduce electro to the mass have leaded him to be part of the mighty New Flesh Records along with Umwelt where he currently runs the graphic side of the French imprint. He also provides graphics for labels such like Zodiak Commune Records, Shipwrec, Rave Or Die and Fundamental Bass  among others.

Currently training in sound therapy, Plena believes that music has the power to create space for transcendental moments both on and off of the dancefloor. Sound is sacred and it can communicate in otherwordly ways. She wanted to create a mix that reflects this, from darker soundscapes and ominous beats weaving through into more optimistic moments.  
 
Plena’s mix combines Acid Basslines, Broken Beats, and dreamlike Synths, taking you on a sonic journey that cultivates a spirit of reverence for those that have inspired her.

We continue the GF series this week with one of the pillars of the Dutch electro scene, none other than DJ Overdose. Hailing from The Hague and based in Rotterdam, his story starts in the eighties. His vision was to create a vibe “where the subs are devastating and the beats are raw". He underpins his work with booming Miami bass and draws on his love for 80s hip-hop to conjure up his signature style. He's etched his mark on deeply loved and respected labels such as L.I.E.S., Creme Organization, Bordello A Parigi, Pinkman, Viewlexx, Murder Capital, his own RotterHague, and many others. Famously dexterous in the booth, DJ Overdose has well-honed skills that make him able to tear up a larger stage or connect with a more intimate crowd. He graces this series with a two-and-a-half-hour live recording at the Down The Rabbit Hole festival. Lock in!'

2023 has unarguably been a great year for Electro both with overall visibility for the public as well as with the sheer number of quality releases being put out over the year. With a newfound buzz surrounding my beloved genre, I'm hardly keeping up!
