Glanzikultur Podcast NR. 1: DJ Sea View (CPH)

Caermi is a 24 y old local from ZH. He‘s a resident DJ @technoabteil & also produces his own music.

As a DJ, his signature style is to bring intense emotions to the dancefloor & play with them, mostly by combining hard, distorted tekkno with oldschool or modern trance elements & melodies, often times putting you in a nostalgic/melancholic trance state, only to roll you over with some of the fattest kicks & rumbles out there. he also likes to completely mix up the mood multiple times during a set. In this Podcast, he showcased all of that.

With 16 years he got the first time in touch with techno.

Passionate by music since he was young age, this artist wants to show his emotions by playing them on stage. He discovered techno’s world by visiting it’s capital, Berlin and he now tries to express himself through this style. His sets are generally hard-hitting and full of good vibes, going through melodies and dark touches. 
Living in Switzerland since 6 years, NFK has already been playing on the stages of different Swiss cities, like Zürich, Basel, Freibourg, Neuchâtel and Lausanne. He wants to debut his international shows this year, with dates scheduled in Lyon (FR), Lisbon (PT) and Berlin (DE)!

Yannick Stegmann, otherwise known as STagee is a  newcomer DJ from Thun. He is 20 years of age and started mixing at the end of 2019. So far he has organised many parties in Thun and the surrounding area. He has also played in clubs like Cafebar Mokka in Thun or Cafete in Bern. STagee's style varies from the depths of hard, fast and dark techno to bouncy trance, hard trance and psytrance.
STagee is also co founder of Resister Construction. The young DJ always has something up his sleeve to surprise his audience and to take them on an adventurous journey through the night.

Janis Sarbach aka SARBACH is a swiss DJ and producer based in Bern. 

He is Co-Founder and Resident-DJ at Soundbude Thun as well as Collective Orcus which are both young and upcoming labels in Bern. 

His style is mostly influenced by groovy rhytms combined with trancy and atmospheric synth lines. While mixing new experimential tracks with older classics he is able to create a unique experience.

He is also known for inviting new and upcoming artists for his event series and creating new parties at clubs like Einspruch Bern and Mokka Thun for example.

His own music has been remixed by the likes of Vendex, HXIST, Wisna, 753, TOLR and many more.

Pash in is an up and coming artist who found his love for techno at the age of 19. It all started with small birthday parties where he played and the 576Ravers were called into life, where he then played more often on outdoors and got his first club gigs.

BØ was born and raised in electronic music Mekka Berlin and influenced by the early loveparade go-ers aka his parents which soon set the tone for a special connection to grooves and rhythms. 

Even though his taste in music took a detour in his teens, legendary events like Mayday, Thunderdome or Fantazia have ever since shaped his musical taste and approach towards djing and own productions.

BØ first connected with Zurich‘s underground dance scene back in 2018 where he was having his own eventseries „Stilbruch“. 

Today, he is resident at Zurich’s one and only trance collective @medusatrance and has played along well renowned artist for a while now. Known for fast forward, 90‘s characterized peak time sets he loves to play high energy closings mixing classical tunes with new-wave-trance and so creating his very own interpretation of dancefloor euphoria.

Lauterkrach brings you full power techno. His roots came from industrial metal music and boom bap rap and still have an influence on his production today.
His energetic sets range from groovy techno to hardcore, always with a focus on dynamics and groove.
After many sold out events with his event series "Soundbude", many releases came through popular labels of the techno scene.
In January 2022 he released the track "I Have Some Bad Fucking Habits" on the VA compilation "ISMVA004.1" by ISMUS, a hard techno banger with epic vocals and hypnotic synth lines.

When 13enkei and GCOD stand behind the decks together, they unleash a groove fiasco in the sense of old school hardgroove, at the edge of the allowed bpm range. As the two founders of @zimatechno they curate their own techno evenings in Zurich with a focus on underground techno and sound. As they grow together in a b2b, solo or in the collective Zima, they concentrate on their sound development, to create something fresh and unique. GCOD who learned part of DJing and producing from Benkei, has long caught up to his senpai which makes their combo a special one. Playing side by side also means comparing their skills in a weirdly competitive way, fighting with kicks and hats to the listeners delight.

KASQAR is a DJ from Coburg. Standing behind the decks since 2020 he got inspired by all kinds of hard, fast and highly energetic sounds and BPMs between 150 and 180. He is a Resident at his local Techno Club, the Club Hilde. With three of his friends, he also just founded the Locked Collective. Until now he has played at some local Bavarian venues but with his fresh colored pink hair, he’s definitely ready for more to come in 2023.

Early on in his life, his passion for music began developing. For a decade the 23 year old swiss native played various percussion instruments before endeavouring on his journey in electronic music. In his younger years, Rubinski found comfort in trance and electronic music before finding his own safe space in the techno scene and discovering his own means for spiritual expressionism.
The freedom and love he felt spending time as a community heavily encouraged him as a 16 year old in his artistic and creative jour- ney. The time and moments he shared within a community and with other creative individuals had a deep effect on his person. From that point onwards he made it his mission to create his own community in this wonderful field with his own interpretation of music and style.
It didn’t take long after that for him go start hosting his own parties, events and shoots. At 18 years of age, the basel based artist, tried his luck on some DJ decks.
In 2018 he had his first performances at illegal raves and also in clubs (the flinders Hotel (sidney) Nordstern, Mäx, Borderline, Container, Kinker, Viertel, Nebel, Netzwerk, Humbug, Flosserplatz Aarau, Oxil). Characterized by his rhythmic approach to techno music, he prioritises a mixture of harmonic and a groovy-shanky sound which he extends that tasteful breakbeats, enabling a awestriking and inspiring world of Music. Since his starting point he started exploring a new branch of his musical creation: hard techno. All these diverse aspects makes him one of the most promising local personalities to burst on the scene. Looking at a promising future he already made himself a reputable name as an eventmanager in the regional scene and as of 2022 he is a resident at Klybeck429 and Music-Connection.

Exile, based in the south of Germany, is a 2000‘ inspired DJ and upcoming Producer of the faster Hardtechno music scene. Since this year he has creates a new label/collective for old school Hardgroove/Hardtechno as well and also has his Residency at Exode Events. He collect years ago many Hardtechno Vinyls and Tracks which bring back the good old days in his mixes. His unique style at the Decks in combination with loopy, hard hitting tracks, he creates every set an absolute experience that gives you pure joy to dance like the devil.

@specific-objects is a Berlin-based DJ, producer and probably one of the biggest hardgroove aficionados you’ll ever meet. With notable releases on esteemed labels such as Akronym, Inherit, Mitsubasa and Smile Sessions, he consistently showcases his ability to effortlessly blend contemporary funky styles with inspiration straight from the early 2000s.

His 3-deck mix for Glanzikultur is a perfect example of his signature sound, combining heavy yet playful basslines with uplifting vocals, intricate chord patterns and moving percussion. Going from soft to hard in just under an hour while maintaining a constant flow of energy will certainly not just once put a smile on your face.

Early on he discovered his love for electronic music, especially the energetic and driving techno fascinated him in his younger years. Parallel to this fascination, his curiosity for the craft of the Dj and the producer was also awakened, which brought him early into contact with vinyl. Through the love for the sound of a record, the handling of the turntables and the collectivization of the black discs, the collection of tracks and sounds has always grown. Michael Shenko is a Tel Aviv based DJ and producer from the Ukraine. His style is dark and inspires a sense of sensuality, sex appeal, with a touch of y2k emo punk.

His love for the nightlife and the underground scene began in 2009 with German industrial and cyber goth, styles that continue to drive today’s massive hardcore techno scene.

He became known in Tel Aviv for musical projects and party lines such as ‘Tanzen’ and ‘Fab’. Currently he is the owner of ‘Pleasure’, the only hardcore techno after-hour in Tel Aviv, mirroring Europe’s scene. He is also a resident of ‘Sin Ethics’, a fetish party that is one of the biggest monthly underground events in Tel Aviv.

Shenko has played alongside artists from all over the world, including Adriana Lopez, 999999999, Lessss, Cleric.
Furthermore, he has played in all of the biggest clubs in the country such as the Block, Gagarin, Bootleg, and Beyt Ma’ariv. 

As a former dancer for the PAG, the biggest underground party in Tel Aviv, and a long-time party goer, Shenko wanted to bring his own aesthetics to the crowd. After many studio lessons with local DJ’s, his career behind the decks began in 2015. 

Shenko is one of the only artists in Israel who strives to deliver a Berlin-style aesthetic to parties and sound. He is followed by many who seek the same in the Middle East. He has paved the way and made a name for himself in the hardcore techno scene in Israel, having a deep love and understanding of fast, dark, furious, and clean sound.

Mael Moser aka MÄHL is a young newcomer Dj from Gstaad BE. He is the Founder and Resident of @WeAllTogether.ch. His style is a mix of almost all the hard and fast Techno Style's as long there's a catchy and groovy Baseline. He played gigs in Mokka Thun, Cafete Bern and more Events.

GFX is a Spanish producer based in Geneva, and more recently in London since 2020.

Co-founder at Introspective Records & Groove Revival and also booking agent for Reflect Agency based in Paris.

Mostly inspired by 90's acid and 00's hard groove, GFX combines severe grooves, harsh bass lines and paced-up sonorities, allowing him to express his emotions in a single and unique way.

He has also played alongside Shlømo, Clara Cuve, Somewhen, Creeds, Regal, Jacidorex, Chlär, Daniella Da Silva, Amrtüm, Tham,, Dasstudach and many more…

GFX has played for notorious organisations & venues such as OBSCUUR at Club Ost in Berlin , Jaded London at Corsica Studio, Nordstern Basel, Milano FashionWeek for GWSU, Zbeul Festival in Geneva and around many cities in Switzerland. He also released on important labels including Deadline, Twice Infinity, Märked Amsterdam, Alu.rsa, Laburnum, COUP, Rave Alert, Innergate, JADED, Introspective Records and a lot more during these past years in the music industry. His tracks have been noticed in the scene since they have been played all around the world!

Working and experimenting with sounds led Doma into the world of electronic music, where he was fascinated by the potential to tell stories and evoke emotions in the crowd. In 2016, Doma founded Create / Recreate to integrate music into scenographic projects, merging music, space, and human experience into temporary art objects. These events offer immersive auditory experiences beyond typical parties.

His work bridges the roots of the genre with its future, incorporating straight techno, atmospheric sounds, and unique rhythms. Sakura plays techno sucré that seeks for a hard vibe, gliding through different styles. Her genrefluid mixes are characterized by an emotional, sometimes sad feel that may turn into an euphoric fly. Both, raves and dance contain the transcendent and paranormal that are so important to her.
Sakura is the organizer of Fleur de Lune, resident DJ at Gaskessel Bern and part of the Nebula party series at Kapitel. She is also part of the gabber-hyperpop-hardcore-experimental collective Ace of Space.
She has played in Bern, Zürich, Lausanne, Germany, Geneva and in France.
