Brett Gould follows up his killer remix for Kevin MckAy on OFF Recordings and his much loved remix for Grum with this essential 3 track EP. 

We first met Brett handing out CDs at ADE in 2012. From there we picked up his trippy, 20:20 Vision style "You Say" for our Super Heavyweight release last Spring. Since then, Brett has gone on to remix Kevin McKay's "Club Trax" for OFF Recordings and record this varied 3 tracker for us. 

First up is Rhythm Drop. Now, if - like us - you're sick of hearing Double 99's Rip Groove being but you're definitely up for some system bending bass and rapid-fire garage beats then this is the cut for you. Like a cross between Martin Ikin's "Rhythm" and Gorgon City's "Thor" this a pure dancefloor monster. 

"Desire" is next and it slows things down and takes us on a sublime bass jounrey filled with spaced out vocals and trippy analogue licks. 

Lastly on "Burnin'", Brett keeps the beats heavy but adds in a more old school house feel to the bass and some darker, vocal cuts and vocodered hooks.

Truce delivers one for the ladies here! Already a club favourite ladies anthem every play in the clubs, Truce went classic old skool regenerating an absolute classic with a new breath of life. "Just Be Good to Me" is a 1983 single by The S.O.S. Band, written and produced by Jimmy Jam & Terry Lewis. The single reached number two on the U.S. R&B chart, number 55 on the Billboard Hot 100, and number three on the dance chart that year. It was more successful in the UK where it peaked at #13.
FREE DOWNLOAD!!! The song has subsequently been covered by several artists, and now 2013 again by London's producer Truce, with this Deep House remix.

German producer LEZOLUT hits hard on his debut for dt weapons with “No Brakes”, a driving house cut that’s built for the floor. Anchored by a tight, growling bassline and crisp percussion, the track pushes forward with relentless momentum. Glasgow Underground was set up in 1997 by Kevin McKay. He began the label releasing his own music and collaborations with friends and other Glasgow-based artists (Omid 16b, Studio Blue, DJ Q, Harri). Through his DJing and work for various music magazines (Muzik, Jockey Slut, Mixmag Update) he met some of his favourite producers of the time (Romanthony, Mateo & Matos, Idjut Boys...) and convinced some of them to join him releasing on GU. In the early 2000s, Kevin met Mylo and set up the Breastfed record label. The global success of "Destroy Rock & Roll" meant Glasgow Underground was put on hold. After leaving the Breastfed label in 2011, Kevin re-started Glasgow Underground and since then the label has gone on to re-invigorate Romanthony's catalogue with remixes from the likes of Dixon, MCDE, Gerd, Andres, Oliver Dollar, Ejeca, Audiojack, Claptone, Christian Nielsen, Supernova, Jimmy Edgar and Waifs & Strays. The label has also introduced producers like Daniel Trim, Brett Gould, Mia Dora and Illyus & Barrientos as well has releasing established & rising stars such as Metodi Hristov, Stefano Ritteri and Sabb.
