Glasgow Underground’s next release sees Kevin McKay team up with Swedish producer Serwus on I Just Can’t Get Enough — a deep, rolling club track designed for those perfect peak-time moments.

Kevin took the best ideas from Serwus’ demo and rebuilt them in his Scottish seaside studio, creating a hypnotic groove that moves like a wave — constant energy, subtle changes, and emotion at its core.

UK selector Bessey steps up with the Bessey Feel Da Beat EP, and it arrives with the kind of club weight he’s been building for a while. If you’ve been following our channels, you’ll know Bessey is part of our OG Discord crew and he’s dropped heat on both Data Transmission and DT Weapons. It’s been wild watching his rise over the last year as he sharpened his sound and built real momentum.

He’s already stacked support from FISHER and Carl Cox, bagged big digital chart moments, and released on labels like Toolroom and Night Bass. This new Repopulate Mars outing shows how far he’s pushed things, and it feels like the start of another jump forward.

Today we premiere Bessey’s track 'Feel Da Beat', the opener and the dirtiest cut of the bunch. It rolls low and tough with dubby bass, clipped vocal hits, and raw claps that lock the whole groove tight. The rave-style breakdown twists into jungle breaks and old-school flavours that take the tension up a level. Pure sweaty-room energy.

‘Bal La Pista’ fires off rasping basslines and sirens for that peak-time rush, and ‘Controller’ brings the funk with hip-hop swagger and glossy synths. The full Bessey Feel Da Beat EP shows how wide he can go while keeping everything aimed straight at the dancefloor.

Rules Don’t Apply drop the fourth chapter of their SPLITS series and it’s stacked with four groove-heavy weapons built for late nights and loud rooms. The concept stays true to its roots, a nod to the old Punk and Disco era when bands would pool cash to press 7-inch singles, one act per side. That same DIY spark lives on here as the label pairs some of their sharpest names on one release.

Today we lock in with FOOLiE’s track ‘Detune’, a trudging, heads-down jam that drags you straight onto the sticky warehouse floor. It’s tough, weird in all the right ways, and stomps forward with that off-kilter grit he does so well.

FOOLiE has always moved a little left of centre. He jumped through Trap, Hip Hop, and Dubstep before finding his home in House where he could lean into the strange. Sci-fi shades, bleepy textures, and mutant grooves became his thing, and that lane carried him onto Maximono’s This Ain’t Bristol back in late 2017. Since then he has fired out releases on Dirtybird, Basement Leak, Slothacid, Cuff, Strangelove, Trippy Ass Technologies, and RDA themselves. No shortcuts, just relentless graft backed up by a catalogue that gets heavier each year.

He’s become a proper Bay Area force, known for turning up in the rave as much as he turns up on the lineup, and pushing that oddball, club-ready sound at every stop from AudioSF to both coasts. ‘Detune’ fits right into that world. Slow, chunky, and dripping with tension, the track feels like it was made for a cramped room where the subs are rattling the metalwork.

SPLITS 4 also brings heat from Vic Crulich, Ben Dragon, and Landis LaPace, but today is FOOLiE’s moment.

Glasgow Underground was set up in 1997 by Kevin McKay. He began the label releasing his own music and collaborations with friends and other Glasgow-based artists (Omid 16b, Studio Blue, DJ Q, Harri). Through his DJing and work for various music magazines (Muzik, Jockey Slut, Mixmag Update) he met some of his favourite producers of the time (Romanthony, Mateo & Matos, Idjut Boys...) and convinced some of them to join him releasing on GU. In the early 2000s, Kevin met Mylo and set up the Breastfed record label. The global success of "Destroy Rock & Roll" meant Glasgow Underground was put on hold. After leaving the Breastfed label in 2011, Kevin re-started Glasgow Underground and since then the label has gone on to re-invigorate Romanthony's catalogue with remixes from the likes of Dixon, MCDE, Gerd, Andres, Oliver Dollar, Ejeca, Audiojack, Claptone, Christian Nielsen, Supernova, Jimmy Edgar and Waifs & Strays. The label has also introduced producers like Daniel Trim, Brett Gould, Mia Dora and Illyus & Barrientos as well has releasing established & rising stars such as Metodi Hristov, Stefano Ritteri and Sabb.
