Doche is the artist name of Hugo Doche, a multi-instrumentalist, producer and DJ from Belo Horizonte, an hour's flight north of Rio De Janiero in Brazil. Doche is a graduate of the LA Music Academy. His debut release for us was his version of the Donna Summer classic "Bad Girls". On that, his guitar and bass skills, combined with a brilliant vocal from Seattle's Kria McKenzie, delivered the shimmering Purple Disco style delight. His second release, "Million Dollar Bill", recreates the Whitney Houston anthem. This song has been done recently in a house style, but with Doche's disco production and Phebe Edwards' supreme re-interpretation of the song, we think this update has the legs to last as long in the Nu Disco charts as "Bad Girls" (still there, five months after its release!). It's another classy party tune.

Like many talented musicians who started making dance music when young, Bulgarian producer Hreez (Hristiyan to his mates) began with EDM, you can find his early releases in the playlists of Laidback Luke and on labels like Spinnin' and Hexagon. As he grew into dance music, his sound evolved into house, tech, and labels like Glasgow Underground. "Try Again" is an update of the classic Aaliyah song with the topline brilliantly performed by Bulgarian vocalist Monica Koleva. Hreez takes Timbaland's simple two-chord groove and develops it into a wicked New Jersey-house-tinged banger with organ stabs and raw beats—a proper house jam.

Audiojack are the UK DJ duo behind some of the biggest house records of the last two decades. Debuting with their iconic Robot on Leftroom in 2006, Audiojack arrived on the scene to critical acclaim. Audiojack’s remixes on labels like Diynamic and BPitch Control, and for artists such as Underworld, Basement Jaxx, Groove Armada and Hot Since 82 have proven their reliability as dancefloor focused hitmakers, while accolades include a nomination in DJ Mag’s Best of British awards and mixing the BBC Radio 1 Essential Mix.
 
It was Audiojack’s passion for DJing which originally inspired them to produce, and after two decades behind the decks together they are masters of the back-to-back, with their energetic performances taking them to over 70 countries, including many of the world’s greatest clubs and festivals.

Italian pioneer Marco Lys remixes an international club hit by Cool Jack on DFTD, ‘Just Come’. Cool Jack, comprised of influential DJ and Black Moon Records owner Angelino Albanese, producer Gianni Visnadi and vocalist Tom Hooker, originally released ‘Just Come’ in 1992. Glasgow Underground was set up in 1997 by Kevin McKay. He began the label releasing his own music and collaborations with friends and other Glasgow-based artists (Omid 16b, Studio Blue, DJ Q, Harri). Through his DJing and work for various music magazines (Muzik, Jockey Slut, Mixmag Update) he met some of his favourite producers of the time (Romanthony, Mateo & Matos, Idjut Boys...) and convinced some of them to join him releasing on GU. In the early 2000s, Kevin met Mylo and set up the Breastfed record label. The global success of "Destroy Rock & Roll" meant Glasgow Underground was put on hold. After leaving the Breastfed label in 2011, Kevin re-started Glasgow Underground and since then the label has gone on to re-invigorate Romanthony's catalogue with remixes from the likes of Dixon, MCDE, Gerd, Andres, Oliver Dollar, Ejeca, Audiojack, Claptone, Christian Nielsen, Supernova, Jimmy Edgar and Waifs & Strays. The label has also introduced producers like Daniel Trim, Brett Gould, Mia Dora and Illyus & Barrientos as well has releasing established & rising stars such as Metodi Hristov, Stefano Ritteri and Sabb.
