Berlin based XXXY starts his latest label adventure with Sour Edits after a successful volume first release from himself a few months back, volume 2 is hot on its heels and will undoubtedly follow in the same direction, definitely a label to look out for this year. SOUR002 belongs to Marcin Krupa, the astronomical tapes label boss provides a perfect addition to the new sour edits line up with this smooth 3-track EP. Each track is uniquely impressive in its own way; the polish sample wizard perfectly creates three euphoric bangers, prepare to be taken on an emotional journey.

We have the pleasure of premiering the first track on the release, ‘Jazz with some house elements’. This Jazz-infused rhythmic weapon is everything we love here at bolting bits and is a stand out track in the EP. Marcin does wonders with the unique melody as it swirls around in a haze of house lushness, but another element I have to bring attention to is the brilliant percussive drums playing looping around tying the whole thing nicely together. Bursting with flavour, Volume 3 of this Tartine Records various is made of 4 producers of different nationalities that come together to serve an international breakfast. Made of 4 delicious tracks that are perfect for dancing, it has been meticulously cooked for demanding dj's.

French local Tartine Records producer @john-tareugram continues to supply the label with his own vision of house music. 'Born Ready' is made of a perfect synthetic melody which John alone has the secret, a powerful bassline, a bouncing drumrack and lovely vocal samples. As B side's first track of Untartined Tapes Volume 3, it sounds fantastically fresh with no concessions. John can surely keep the keys of the label.
