“I am, above all, a DJ,” states the always captivating Lea Lisa. The French selector is also a vinyl addict who never stops digging and hasn’t since she first started in 1996. From emotive deep house to driving techno, warm and soulful sounds to jacking club tracks, she has it all in her arsenal. Her sets always effervesce with passion and have lead to high praise from greats like Kerri Chandler and Jovonn. They have also taken her from clubs everywhere China to Copenhagen, New York to Paris, as well as high profile festival stages at Nuits Sonores, Southern Soul Festival and Polaris.

Lea’s much-loved No Boundaries Radio Show on Universal Rhythms offers an even broader window into her collection. Each episode finds her share many different sounds and stories from her eclectic collection as she joins the dots between the past, present and future. This well-informed knowledge and understanding of dance floor dynamics also play out in the music Lea makes, which has so far been spun by the likes of tastemakers such as Ron Trent, Tyree Cooper, Laurent Garnier or Anthony Nicholson to name a few.

They say 'house is a feeling', and it's a feeling which courses through Lea's very bones. This one is very much for the headz, but in a manner that's enjoyable for all.

Vinyl only mix by house veteran Kid Mark specially for our fifty-third issue of GLBDOM Podcast.
Kid Mark aka Marco Zampini was born in Verona (Italy) in 1992. Music lover and vinyl defender, he began his dj/producer career in 2008. In early 2012 Marco began a project to give birth to his own label - Killax Recordings. 
During his career Kid Mark signed his own vinyl productions on great labels, like Swink Music, Skylax, Axe On Wax Records, Say Ahh! as well as digital releases on Hustler Trax, Gents & Dandy's, Underground Source Records and many many others. Unfortunately, we haven't heard anything new from Marco for a long time, but he promised that he would return to producing in early 2023.

The Italian born, Berlin based, DJ and producer Ruff Stuff have rocked up on a host on different labels, including !K7, Shall Not Fade, Madhouse Records, Suol, Sloth Boogie, Neovinyl, Quality Vibe and STEP Recordings. 
However, it's the work on his own label, the aptly names Ruff Stuff Music Ltd, for which he’s arguably best renowned.
Grew up during the ‘90’s electronic wave, firstly as clubber and then as DJ and vinyl enthusiast, in the mid-2000s he decided to start produce electronic music. The first steps were moved on the Idm and Ambient territories, driven by his love for ethereal melodies and intricate broken beats.
The shift to House happened after re-discovering different classic records hidden in his collection. 
From here the idea to create a music project focused on representing the vibes of the old-school House, Techno and Garage with a propensity to find the newest, freshest sounds.
Rough samples, hypnotic melodies, groovy beats and vocals are the main ingredients that marks the Ruff Stuff’s sound.

With his stripped-down emotional love for music and kind soul, Leipzig-bound beatsmith and all round top geezer Luvless has been steadily cementing his reputation as one of contemporary house music’s finest.
Luvless is known for his work with Rose Records – a label he started with four other friends back in 2011 – and a smattering of appearances on several other labels, slamming down dusty disco edits as well as athomspheric house belters. Since 2017 he’s been focussing on his new project Velours Records, a vinyl outlet for different avenues of the Luvless sound and guest appearances by friends.
His music has been described as sweet, gentle even, but banging at the same time. It sometimes pays homage to the old Kerry days with extra magic dust sprinkled on top. You could listen to his products on such labels as Razor-N-Tape, Super Tuff Records, suol, Slow Down Recordings, Lüüd Discs, Blaq Numbers and many more.

The Berlin-based producer, dj and label owner Luca Olivotto focuses his craft on independent and aesthetic electronic dance music genres.
His labels Small Great Things and Endless Music aim for originality and creativity, boasting well-crafted music with character.
Luca had a musical upbringing having learnt the keys as a child he then went on to start producing music ten years ago with multiple releases under his belt.
Luca’s productions and sets range from house to disco, but experimentation has always been at the forefront of his ambition. His sound is very recognizable due to his unique sense of melody, harmony and compositional techniques utilized in all major works of his oeuvre.
Luca has released solo works on Labels such as Endless Music, Small Great Things, Berlin House Music, Honey Butter Records, Miura, Dobro, Sengiley Wax, Inhale/Exhale, The Basement Discos and many others.
He's also the promoter and resident of the Berlin known event series "Small Great Garden" and "Small Great House".

It’s been a little while since Ethyene gave us the nudge that there might be an LP coming from him on Moonrise Hill Material - the well-loved label he started up alongside his French pals Folamour, Kaffe Crème and Okwa. Since then, we’ve been eagerly awaiting the tracks (and sending the odd message here and there asking when the hell it was finally going to drop). We knew full well that if what we’d been offered up from both the label (don’t get us started on Folamour’s album again) and Ethyène recently was anything to go by, we’d be in for a real treat. Well, we weren’t wrong…
 
Brotherly Love is a perfectly curated journey. An effervescent mix of the artist’s many musical tones that we’ve grown so fond of. We’ll probably run a full-length review once we’ve got our hands on the vinyl, because it doesn’t seem quite right to break up the magic and talk about just one song. But, for now, we give you ‘A Baddington Pear’.
 
This track is a little off-kilter, and not exactly what you’d have in mind when you’re talking about Ethyène’s usual output. He’s not shy about letting his love for Hip Hop and Rnb shine through, though, and this laid back, downbeat vibe complements the other B-side offerings pretty damn well.  
 
The disco & soul inspired samples, and the addictive, filtered vocals that are a staple in his house offerings work seamlessly here with the heavy kick and jazz-club cymbals. It feels like we’ve simply transposed Ethyene’s sonic personality from one genre to another and this fluidity between musical styles has to be applauded – it’s a big reason we love this album so much.
