Sappho first stepped into our awareness as a DJ in Bellingham, which makes this connection extra special. Since relocating to Portland however, Sappho has become a dance music aficionado, curating a wide range of sounds through sets suited for the many dance floors across Portland, as well as through her new label Koritsi Komma Records.

Furthermore, Andricos has become an important player in diversifying the city's dance music scene through events such as last weekend's XXXtraterrestrial party brought to the people of Portland by Opal Underground and Holocene, and featured a highly anticipated lineup centered on Portland's Queer community.

Next up to take over our Madhouse Podcast series is Owain, a staple in the UK house underground, heading up renowned vinyl-only label, 124 Recordings. 

Established in 2012 this was a platform for artists such as Janeret, Demuja, Jay Shaw, Sebb Junior, Ortella, 2 Bit Crew and many more, providing an outlet for lesser known artists who have now risen to become household names within the underground. With an ear and strict ethos for nothing but true house music, the catalogue is one we highly respect and admire.

124 was closed earlier this year but with new label Puresa Records ready for launch soon we can expect to hear more of the same high standards and quality music from Owain's next venture.

This is one our favourites so far, an hour of house goodness.
