'Coming From The Deep' EP by Munky Fike is the latest release from GLBDOM's sub-label GLBDOM Classic, and is a masterclass in elegant, retro house sounds for the modern, twenty-first century dance floor. Comprised of four tracks, Munky Fike gets things started with the eponymous 'Coming From The Deep', a simple yet powerful track featuring uplifting pads and a super catchy bassline, embellished with subtle touches of 303 and emotive sax refrains. Up next is 'Freak Me' which, as the name suggests, has a more energetic and frenetic vibe. Organ licks, a stomping bassline and deftly applied vocal samples all add up to make Freak Me a certified dance floor jam! Track three, 'Makes Me Happy', is a sax and piano infused number with a lively beat and hefty bassline, replete with soaring vocal hits and a fervent pulse that will get any crowd moving. Topping things off is the super funky 'So Good', with its soulful vocal stabs and hypnotic organ riff driving the tune ever onwards and upwards. Add in lashings of sax and strings, and So Good becomes the perfect finishing track for this absolute vibe of an EP!
