Ponda is carving out a unique space in the bass music scene with a sound that blends classic and contemporary influences. 2024 was a landmark year for the project, featuring official releases on Illicit Records (UK) and Howitzer Records (Vancouver), alongside multiple self-released singles. Known for moody, minimal productions and high-energy performances, with standout sets at Wicked Woods and Samsara Music Festival in 2024. 2025-07-09 update: renamed this to Mellow Moods, to make it both more clear from the title what kind of mix it is / stay consistent with my existing series, plus i want my LPZ mixes to be mostly freestyles. while a large portion of this was indeed the result of a freestyle and recorded live on LPZ, a lot of it (~40%) was planned too.

Mellow Moods 190 - Interwoven

Iyasu is an electronic artist and DJ who brings a raw, immersive sound that lives somewhere between meditative and menancing. Iyasu weaves together dubwise pressure and textural depth, grounding his sets in low-end exploration and soulful distortion. He has spent the last two years showcasing a vault of unreleased material, live-scratched, and deeply atmospheric, offering a glimpse into his constantly evolving sonic world.

He has been involved with the Denver music scene for the last 7 years, helping start the Wildflower Arts Collective as well as collaborating & providing support for various music collectives such as Pomegranate Sounds & Dub Den Records. He released his debut EP ‘Espial’ on Simic Records in March of 2023 to officially kick off the project.
