City of Twilight came about on a dark rainy day in the mountains of New Mexico. First envisioned as a short story it soon sprung into an intricate song about misfits, dirty city streets and the bitter sweet appeal of the give and take of city life.

My Grandfather's Grandfather is a western ballad about lead member's (Jhett Schiavone and Callie Sioux Schiavone)heritage in Lincoln County New Mexico. The land of Billy the Kid, the Lincoln Wars, Jesse James and the badlands. The song tells the tale of Jhett's Great, Great Pinkerton Grandfather who patrolled the trains through Lincoln County and how he might have met Callie's outlawed ancestor. Set in the 1890's.

Agave Adobe is yet another of Gleewood's material directly inspired by the majestic and melancholy landscape of the Southwest. This song was born under the big sky in high desert planes. It is a song of weariness, and a song of redemption.

"Whiskey Sue" contains the grit and edge of Gleewood's Rock/Blues and sludge folk influences. The lyrics tell the story of member Jhett Schiavones' Great Grandfather, Frank, getting tangled up with outlawed moonshiner and whiskey runner, Sue. Set during America's 1930s Prohibition era, the multifaceted characteristics of the Folk/Rock trio is brought to life and brought to you by Secret Circus Studios of Roswell, NM. The artwork for "Whiskey Sue" was sponsored by none other than world famous Argentina painter and artist, Fabian Perez. The piece is titled "Whiskey Study in Las Brujas II" and captures the era, mystery and darkness of the bands tune. Constantly surrounded by Providence that guides them forward from the generosity of LA Herreria Art Studio, to the help of Secret Circus Studios to the support of their friends and fans Gleewood presses on with torch in hand creating music that is cross generational and fresh.

Whiskey - Sue

Gleewood is a musky americana act based out of New Mexico that swaggers through blues, folk, and rock 'n' roll, with lyrics that lend a story to folk and roots music enthusiasts with an energy that swells into guitar solos from the heart of the psychedelic 60s. Gleewood has performed over 800 shows since their album release in November of 2013, and has opened for number of acts including, Southern Rock legends: The Marshall Tucker Band and today's Psychedelic Rock authorities: Radio Moscow and Folk Pop up and comers: The Shook Twins. Gleewood's sound would comfortably share a stage with vintage folk rock, such as Buffalo Springfield, The Animals, and Linda Ronstadt & Stone Poneys, while maintaining grasp on the current with influences like Black Rebel Motorcycle Club, Jack White, and The Avett Brothers.

Though both fourth generation New Mexican, it was after Jhett Schiavone began his acoustic songwriting in Hawaii that he met, married, and began writing with western desert flower, Callie Sioux. Always sure to bring a uniquely southwestern interpretation of folk, roots, and rock n roll, Gleewood steps out in their converse and cowboy boots spreading their hippie-meets-western folk rock across the U.S. leading with vocal ingenuity, catchy melodies, and uplifting stage presence.
