"Creature" is a driving techno tune with juicy percussion, with the perfect amount of energy for the peak time. It has a terrific remix by DJ Anna, who brought in her characteristic groove and feel, a perfect dance floor burner.

Wooooow, people 🤯❤️😍 - what an outstanding experience playing at fusion festival for the first time! We proudly present the very first recording of a bassara live set! It's as raw and pure as our gig was - with a glitch here and there, but straight from the heart :)We had a lot of fun playing - and to see the dubstation packed with all of your smiling faces made us sooo happy.
Thanks to all the people dancing, shouting and feeling the groove with us at the dubstation! And thank you, Kulturkosmos, for making this great festival happen and inviting us for performing our second-ever live set.

Here we go with our very first exclusive premiere and we've got a corker to get things rolling. Venezuelan duo Fur Coat have kindly given us the first play of the title track from their forthcoming EP 'There's No Time', which is coming out on Jamie Jones' ever popular Hot Creations label.

This new track is a perfect example of their love affair with the sleazier side of house music, razor sharp synth lines cascade over a hefty set of percussion and a rumbling, morose b-line while a pitched-down, barely audible vocal lurks in the background. Hot stuff we're sure you'll agree. You can get your copy of the cut from the 31st of March.

Michi and I were set and ready to take over from Mimi Love @spreedelay, but during our third track, our mixer unexpectedly dropped out. It was a bumpy start, but once we switched over to the backup mixer, everything took off and what a ride it turned into! We decided to keep the recording as it was: raw, real, and true to the live experience. Sometimes these little curveballs are just part of the journey.

The photo perfectly captures how we prep our sets—and also explains why our backs and shoulders are always in recovery mode! 😂 (Thank you, Em, for the snap!)

A heartfelt thank you to the entire @bachstelzen crew and Fusion for having us, to the producers behind the tracks, the sound techs, our amazing friends who held space for us, and every dancer and twerker who shared the moment on the floor.

@madmotormiquel, thank you for your constant support, and for being the best samba dancer and twerker a Brazilian could dream of!

P.S. This year marked Fusion’s 26th anniversary and Bachstelzen’s 20th. These collectives have shaped and inspired generations of ravers, myself included. I truly wouldn’t be who I am today without them. Happy birthday, and here’s to many more years of magic!

Riding in with the power to deliver sunshine to world’s rainiest open-air events, Monkey Safari brings rays of light to whatever dance floors they cast their shimmering spell on.

2015 saw the brothers swinging to new trees, retiring their previous labels to focus on their new label 'Hommage.' It was the year of transformation for the German producers, developing and tailoring a sound suited perfectly for the unique club nuances while still keeping the core elements of melodic chords and grooves synonymous with the duos productions. 2015 unveiled Monkey Safari’s remix for Marc Houle’s “Pepper” on Richie Hawtin’s label Minus and their hugely successful “Cranes” and “Walls“ EPs that presented opportunities for Monkey Safari to work with some exciting musicians, such as Wolf + Lamb and Kölsch, techno heavy weights Guy Gerber and Josh Wink, as well as one of dance music’s most iconic producers, Moby.

2016 followed in a similar fashion with a series of EPs and remixes released throughout the year showcasing the developed and matured sound apparent in the brothers' latest movements. At the start of the year, Monkey Safari’s remix for Moby & The Void Pacific Choir was the pick of the bunch, returning the favor after Moby’s successful rework of the duo’s track “Walls” last year. Their first EP of 2016, “On”, featured remixes from Techno legend Paco Osuna alongside French producer Chloé, followed by a second EP in June, “Bernstein”, with remixes by John Digweed & Nick Muir and Spanish DJ and producer UNER. August saw the release of their most recent 4- track EP, “Boris”, with remixes by Tel Aviv-based producer Guy Mantzur and Brazilian producer Victor Ruiz, reaching Beatport’s Tech House Top 10. After the successful “Woo” and “Woo Remixes” EPs, Monkey Safari were able to sign amazing Blond:ish, legendary John Tajada, and newcomer Marino Canal for a four track EP on their Hommage imprint.

The duo’s efforts in the studio have transcended to their DJ sets with stand out shows at Time Warp USA & Germany. Summer 2016 saw the brothers testing their evolving sound once again to new crowds with a slot at Awakenings Festival as the stand out attraction. On top of a heavy touring schedule at world renowned clubs and headlining slots at festivals, the duo rekindle their love for party promotion since their tender years in their hometown of Halle, Germany, where they own the infamous and recently remodeled “Charles Bronson” club.

2017 has been yet another impressive year for the duo to with releases on the likes of UNER’s Solar Distance and their own Hommage imprint. Their most recent release ‘Oxy’ featured as part of John Digweed’s ‘Bedrock Frequencies’ compilation which included 31 exclusive tracks from some of the labels favourite artists, reaching #2 in Beatport’s Progressive House chart. With a new album scheduled for the late months, expect the rest of the year to be equally as impressive as the duo aim to make it their biggest to date.

The German outfit has been on an incredible run of form with promising developments in all of their endeavors and exciting news still to come. Be it a fresh remix or EP drop, DJ set or party, Monkey Safari will be sure to touch all scopes of dance culture with no signs of deceleration on the horizon.

Their mandate remains the same, sending sunny vibes to make even the darkest dance floors smile.

Glen C (aka Geist) is originally from London but now resides in the southern lands of Sweden. He has been DJ’ing for the last 20 years at warehouses, clubs and festivals around the globe to crowds as large as 10'000.  He also featured at Fusion Festival 2012, a highlight! 
Glen has a range of styles to always be able to adapt his sound depending on the event, location and set time… but can pin it down to a mix of deep progressive /techno and deep house, always thinking forward with the groove firmly in his focus.  Gigs recently these last years have been playing alongside big names such as Super Flu, Der Dritte Raum, Kant, Teenage Mutants, Oliver Koletzki, The Glitz, Andreas Henneberg, Dan Caster and Berlin headliner, Midas 104 to name just a few.  

Glen started producing years ago but only really released anything around 2009 which was based around his old interest in progressive.  As his DJ taste and style changed so did his interest with what he wanted to produce, and so Geist was born mid 2012.  Bringing the tempo down and trying to find a balance between deep groove and interesting progression has been the aim of Geist, something  Glen has been honing his skills on with many EP and compilation releases.  After months of hard work Glen finalized his first Geist album ‘Stimuli’ in early 2014 and was released to great support from some of the scenes biggest players. 

Then on to 2015 which proved to be a busy time for his Geist project, first with an EP in collaboration with the very talented and well know hang drum duo, Hang Massive.  After, followed releases on some top labels like Parquet Records, Lowbit, Asymmetric, Movement and Beat Boutique.  There was also a compilation by Glen C Geist on the massive Danish label, Iboga.  Deviations part 1 brought some deep tech sounds to the progressive/psy power house.  So much so that Iboga Records have asked him to compile part 2 of the now acclaimed Deviations series, something that has kept him busy for almost a year finding the best material, which is released in February 2017. 

 2017 and 2018 has seen again some strong releases for Geist on Traum Schallplatten, Flow Records, Tulipa Recordings, Flora7Fauna, Inmost Records, Twisted Frequencies and Beat Boutique.  Furthermore Glen had been working the last 2 years on his follow up Geist album (A Million Shadows Before Dawn), which was released to great response at the end of 2016!  It reached number 18 in the Electronic Beatport charts, 19 in the Progressive House charts and 31 in the Deep House Chart.

His first releases of 2019 see an EP on the wonderful German label SOSO, and the on American imprint WAYU.
