Today marks 4 months since the sudden passing of my Father, (Frank Kerrison). It’s been an incredibly intense time, going through all the emotions. But making this song was something I needed to do. Music was the gift my Dad blessed me with, and because of that I feel closer to him when I’m creating.

Writing this song helped me find/express some of the raw thoughts, feelings & emotions that I think were trapped inside. Not necessarily understanding them, but at least airing them out. I also wanted to be able to have something that my family and I could listen back on and hear his voice, not just for the family here now, but the ones yet to come. I have accepted what has happened, but I’m not ready to say I’m through it yet - this is part of my healing.
