It breaks my heart to see her looking down
And when my happy apple smiles there’s nothing I can’t handle
This world is bright & shiny, ripe & round
When night falls on me & my happy apple
Moonlight draws Vienna streets anew
This blueprint sketch calls me to fetch my jacket
And descend from view

With three square meals, wide-eyed ideals
And trees set at right angles
This life so far from everything I knew
