As the name suggests, these were based on an alternate-reality version of the DEC 64-bit microprocessor in the Seven Darks of Sellasar.

The DEC architecture was intended to be a high-performance design. The Pyaray priest-team intended the architecture to support a one-thousandfold increase in corruption over twenty-five years. To ensure this, any architectural feature that impeded cosmic entropy, multidimensional worship or the formation of trickster archetypes was removed and replaced by simulation-recursion components. 

Due to the “what eats sentience” paradox, the DEC chips were confiscated in 2011 with a few remaining functionally performative and granted autonomy in recognition of effective service.
