Kris takes the role of Frisk. They are a young child who happen to stumble upon a world of monsters and are ready to journey through many dangers ahead.

The Vessel takes the role of Chara. Simply, it is Dr. W.D. Gaster's failed attempt to free monsterkind. By creating such failure, it led everything into despair.
