Flush’s summer release ‘Bateau Blanc’ receives a percussive remix from Belgian house producer Kid Crème on Glitterbox. Now as the club-season approaches, ‘Bateau Blanc’ is remixed by a well-established international artist. An artist who exemplifies the beloved Glitterbox sound, The Shapeshifters aka Simon Marlin returns to the label with ‘Beautiful Day’ featuring vocals from daughter of Soulstress Nina Whitaker, Liisi Lafontaine. Since his acclaimed Glitterbox LP ‘Let Loose’ and subsequent Deluxe edition, which saw the UK household name work with luminaries Billy Porter, Joss Stone, Teni Tinks and CHIC’s Kimberly Davis, Simon has remained one of the world’s most in-demand disco authorities. Now back in the studio after a relentless touring schedule, which saw him ring in the new year at Glitterbox’s Wembley takeover in 2024, Simon foregoes the signature disco strings of recent hits to make way for a heavier and progressive sound, rooted in memories formed at Glitterbox’s Hï Ibiza party and Defected Croatia. This comeback release, ‘Beautiful Day’ features Liisi Lafontaine, an established vocalist with previous credits in Moulin Rouge and Dreamgirls, now recording dance music with the genre’s best; Liisi’s buttery smooth vocals add a cool, downtown vibe to the understated yet powerful production of ‘Beautiful Day’, signalling good club vibes only for summer 2024.

Love Attack Records founder Alan Dixon delivers a euphoric original on Glitterbox, ‘Nothing But Happiness’. A true nightlife authority with experience, holding a DJ residency at Savage London, Alan Dixon’s vibrant, disco-adjacent and globally appealing sound has earned him recognition from key industry names over the years including Keinemusik, Black Coffee, Gerd Janson and Pete Tong. His versatile taste sees him play all over the world consistently, with his DJ sets in May 2024 alone reaching Milan, London, Stockholm, Amsterdam, Lausanne and Glitterbox’s Hï Ibiza summer residency. Synthesising his wide knowledge of international influences and electronic genres, Alan Dixon presents a much anticipated follow up to ‘Sunday Stomper’ with Will Tramp, his previous Glitterbox outing. ‘Nothing But Happiness’ is an upbeat, gospel-house release that perfectly matches the Glitterbox aesthetic; uplifting vocals float above Alan Dixon’s crystal-clear production to create a record that demonstrates a world class level of studio expertise.

The multi-faceted JKriv returns to Glitterbox with ‘Waiting 4 Tonite’, featuring mesmerising vocals from singer-songwriter Betty Judd. Hailing from Brooklyn, JKriv is widely respected in the industry as an exceptional DJ, producer, composer, multi-instrumentalist and studio expert, oozing musicality with every step of his diverse career. Co-owner of label Razor-N-Tape and co-founder of NYC summer party Hot Honey Sundays, JKriv’s CV is signposted by work for Honey Dijon, Dimitri From Paris, Horse Meat Disco and Kathy Sledge, not to mention his uplifting originals which include previous Glitterbox releases ‘Yo Love’ featuring Adeline and ‘The Way’ featuring Norman Vladimir. Now he is joined by burgeoning singer, songwriter and vocalist Betty Judd on ‘Waiting 4 Tonite’, a funk-laden love letter to a bygone era, decorated with JKriv’s signature production sparkle and bolstered by Betty’s crystalline topline.

Rarely does an artist pay homage to the classics like Dimitri From Paris. The Grammy nominated producer, remixer, composer and DJ has made every one of his repertoire of reworks sound effortless; no mean feat when the original tracks are by the likes of Disco’s greatest musicians. He has a long history of remixing classic records, starting in the late 80s and culminating in this achievement of a lifetime, ‘Dimitri From Paris presents Le CHIC Remix’.


This 20-track album features three brand new remixes alongside the much-loved essentials all brilliantly remastered for 2018, tracks that have resonated with artists from Frankie Knuckles to Disclosure, Gilles Peterson to Mark Ronson. Alongside the remixes are instrumentals of each (four of which are previously unreleased), for the ultimate bumper pack. For this project Dimitri was entrusted to use the original studio masters from circa 1978 - 1980 that feature all of the individually recorded musical and vocal elements. The songs have been respectfully remastered, unveiling never-before-heard performances, turning the spotlight on the beautiful orchestrations of one the most unique and highly-revered production duos of the Disco era and beyond; Nile Rodgers & Bernard Edwards, along with their CHIC Organization of musicians. 
Kicking off with the unmistakeable CHIC staple ‘Le Freak’, Dimitri’s timeless remix making the exquisite instrumental harmonies shine like only Dimitri can, the album delves next into ‘Lost In Music’ and CHIC’s classic ‘I Want Your Love’. Norma Jean Wright’s life-affirming ‘Saturday’, written by CHIC along with Robert L Cotter in 1978, has been remixed by Dimitri to cinematic proportions, the climax of many of his DJ sets. Sister Sledge’s ‘He’s The Greatest Dancer’ is given the Dimitri treatment with a new extended mix, drawing out the string motifs, showcasing unheard sections from the original master tapes, sounding better than ever. Further exclusives include ‘My Forbidden Lover’ and another Sister Sledge masterpiece, ‘Got To Love Somebody’ with cowbell and horns resplendent. More highlights include a new remaster of Sister Sledge’s evergreen ‘Thinking Of You’ and the final track, an underdog from French chanson singer turned one-time Disco act, Sheila & B. Devotion ‘Your Love Is Good’, a euphoric high to close on and another track using elements from never-heard-before recorded outtakes.

Through Disco grooves and meticulously reverent production, ‘Dimitri From Paris presents Le CHIC Remix’ gets to the heart of why CHIC’s music remains so universally relevant, underlining the enduring cultural significance of dance music in its most unabashed form. This album is a demonstration of how captivating the sound of a full orchestra of musicians can be, compared to today’s largely computer generated offerings, celebrating the eternally endearing qualities of some of CHIC’s best-selling productions, not to mention, for over 40 years, the unquestionable power of a great Disco record.

More than just a remix, Honey has recreated a classic Paradise Garage vibe by drafting musicians to re-record the track, with a fresh Fiorious vocal laid on top. A popping bassline takes centre stage with Fiorious’ vocals given further hypnotic quality, creating a bubbling dancefloor gem with all the anthemic qualities of the original. A powerful call-to-resistance club anthem, ‘I’m Not Defeated’ is the debut Glitterbox single from Fiorious, a celebration of activism, visibility and the history of the LGBTQ+ struggle.
