Louis Robein, the skipper of the stars and the breath of the sea

Louis Robein, a French sailor approaching his seventies, is a true inspiration. Despite starting sailing at 18, he never stopped and went on to take part in eight editions of the Solitaire du Figaro, one of the toughest and most demanding races in the solo racing circuit in France. Louis is now preparing for his biggest challenge yet - the Global Solo Challenge, where he will sail around the world solo. But what sets Louis apart is his generosity and passion for sharing his love of sailing. He has been volunteering for the Union Nationale des Aveugles et Déficients Visuels for five years, helping visually impaired or blind people learn how to sail. Louis also brings them on board his boat, allowing them to experience the beauty of sailing. His boat, "Le Souffle de la Mer," or "The Breath of the Sea," is a testament to his philosophy that sailing and nature should be in harmony.
