Husa & Zeyada - Long Way Home [IAMHER]

'Madman is the new musical travel by the young duo Depart, from Istanbul. This track has been made during a night walk along the beach of Izmir in Turkey, a walk toward balance and inner readjustment. At that time the singer of the duo had reached a point where he was feeling stuck in his life to the extent of madness: « scraping his scars just to feel alive ».

The best remedy to this situation was to put it into words. He, thus, decided to impersonate his own role in the song and call himself a Madman as a representation of all the frustration and weight he was carrying away on his shoulders.

This record is for everyone feeling stranded in their life, it’s about accepting vulnerability instead of stiffness, it’s about embracing your inner self, in the ups as in the lows, instead of fighting it. This record means a lot to the duo as it helped them going through that rough time, they hope this will now help many more people who are facing the same obstacles in their reality.

The EP comes with a hypnotic and high percussive reinterpretation from dOP, a mesmerizing down tempo remix from Moon’s Voyager and a stellar deep house remix from the Birds of Mind.

Blausch – Parallel Hymns [PREVIEW]

Baham is a coming ‘together’ in the creation of a shared experience, a musical partnership between friends, an artistic expression of a collective. A multimedia project led by the Montreal based The Doctors, the duo of Houman Farzin & Kam Kafi bring together elements of folk music reinterpreted through electronica. 

Their ‘You Are Simin’ EP for Blond:ish’s ABRACADABRA will tickle your technicolour senses, and with an added remix from Gab Rhome & Adisyn, another spiritually effecting release enters the ABRACADABRA catalogue. 

“We found this amazing 70's Persian Western record where the main verse says "You are the one", and thought how poetic to use that as our first release. It was like it chose us itself. The Shahre-farang from the cover art, originally designed by Maryam Khosrovani, inspired this idea of a glimpse into a foreign world, and here we are offering everyone a glimpse into our culture in a playful manner. Premiere:  Baham - You Are Simin [Abracadabra]

Im Jahre 2013 wird das Basler Flaggschiff Schallbox Records, in seiner 13 Veröffentlichung , neue Welten erkunden. Die Berliner "Antientertainers" Jens und Dennis steuern das Schallbox-Schiff als "Drunken Sailor" durch die Brandung der elektronischen Musik und zeigen ihre schöne und bunte Welt der Öffentlichkeit.

Mit dem Original "Drunken Sailor" erzählen die Antientertainers eine ganz eigene Geschichte Ihrer Schifffahrt durch die Weltmeere. Eine schöne Electro-Pop-Ballade, die schon von weitem von allen Seefahrern in den heimischen Spelunken zu hören ist.

Steve Cole mit seinen Remix, nimmt euch auf die wohl eher stürmische See mit und reduziert das Original auf seine wesentlichen Bestandteile. Vereinzelte Soundschnipsel schallen durch den Raum und werden von einem gradlinigen Beat bis zum sicheren Anlegen im Hafen getragen.

Eine funky Wurlizerline begleitet den Remix von Benno Blome. Der Sender-Mastermind liefert eine verspielte und groovende Version des betrunkenen Seglers und zeigt einmal mehr, dass er ein Meister seines Faches ist.

An Land angekommen und mit festen Boden unter den Füssen wartet dann auch gleich das nächste Abenteuer auf euch. Mit "Roleplay"fordern euch die Jungs mit minimalistischen Klängen auf, das Neuland zu erkunden.

Die digitalen Bonusremixes kommen vom Basler Cristian Tamborrini und vom Berliner Jan Slessig.

Ten Walls debut album 'Queen'

The long awaited debut album from the highly talented dance music producer and artist Ten Walls called 'Queen' available from the mid of March in a double CD package and in the end of the month also in digital format. The author created a continuous story full of different colours and a great mixture of different genres including flavours of Broken Beat, Dub or even New Jazz. 
 'Queen' is an organic album. CD1 is more for listening, slow and light, including few songs as well. CD2 sounds more like dance music. One can also hear a lot of genres there, moving from one to the other. This album as one piece, just divided into two physical CD's. 
 The package of the album looks like a book - a piece of art. The book includes photos, reflecting each track. 'I have pictured these musical pieces in my mind, as it's natural for the artist to exceed the competence and search for additional forms that would supplement your work, making it single piece of art.' - adds Marijus (Ten Walls).  The combination of arts is a very important thing to be noticed, each of them has it's space, place and role in the album. Poetry and lyrics, photography / visual arts and music, altogether they make 'Queen' more that just a music album. 
 Ten Walls also made collaborations with very wide and different spectrum of musicians during the creation of his debut album 'Queen'. Conductor Ricardas Sumila, legendary piano genius and artist Petras Geniusas, good old friend Vytautas Sondeckis added some Cello masterpiece, bass guitar Domas Aleksa, drummer Marijus Aleksa, singers Monika Liu, ALX and Jonatan Backelie, Marijus' spiritual friend and teacher Andrew and nonet performers.
 Ten Walls debut album 'Queen' is available in double CD package from the mid of March and in digital format from the 27th of March.
