Alongside Global Underground’s TWENTY (20 Year Anniversary), GUMUSIC celebrates its 100th single release on 20th October with the re-release of a GU classic Roland Klinkenberg Feat DJ Remy ‘Mexico Can Wait’, with a slew of remixes from Gabriel Ananda, Matthew Jonson and more.
 
Some of the remixers are winners from a remix competition we ran earlier in the year, the standards were very high with some big emerging talent entering. Winner Francesco Pico turned in a hypnotic chilled version that set it apart, with Jaap Ligthart, Mateo Murphy, Robert R. Hardy and Pano Manara creating some amazing versions of their own.

Musique de Lune rounds out the month of April by welcoming Hector Cortes back to the label for his debut EP. Hailing from Mexico, Hector Cortes first emerged in 2021 on the strength of a contribution to Buddhabrot's 'Constellations 01' collection. 

Wrapping up 2024 with 'Psionic,' a track recorded alongside fellow countryman Indigo Man for MNL's 'Autumn 2024' collection, Hector opens his 2025 schedule returning to Musique de Lune with three-track showcase, 'Soulshock.'

A melting pot of deep house, progressive and trance, ‘This Is Not Our Universe’ also boasts a lineup of eclectic vocalists.
The album includes an evergreen remix of alt-J’s hit ‘Breezeblocks’, recent single ‘Lost’ feat. Run Rivers, and slow-burning festival smash ‘Need You’ alongside regular collaborator Thomas Oliver.

Echoes of Pryda and Timo Maas can be heard on instrumentals ‘The Walk’ and ’Neko’, while fans of the duo’s recent outings on Anjunabeats’ sister label Anjunadeep will enjoy ‘Vanishing’ (feat Run Rivers) and ‘Lullaby’ (feat Helsoot).

“This is actually our first album together. Our characters are quite different. This album is the result of those two different characters and the tension that arises in the search for the balance between the two of us. It is, as it were, a collection of ingredients with which we show that we are happy with the differences between them. The album also represents diversity. Many tracks on the album have the same character but are still different from each other. A nice reflection of how we are as people.”
