was wake up at dawn and watch my grandmother kneel and pray
in a village hidden between Jaffa and Haifa
my mother was born under an olive tree
on a soil they say is no longer mine
but I will cross their barriers, their check points
their damn apartheid walls and return to my homeland

And did you hear my sister screaming yesterday
as she gave birth at a check point
with Israeli soldiers looking between her legs
for their next demographic threat
called her baby girl “Janeen”.
And did you hear Amni Mona screaming
behind their prison bars as they teargassed her cell
“We’re returning to Palestine!”

But you tell me, this womb inside me
will only bring you your next terrorist
beard wearing, gun waving, towelhead, sand nigger

but those are your copters, your F16′s in our sky

Franziska Lantz is a Swiss artist and musician based in London. She merges visual and audio work in ritualistic installations and raw music performances. Lantz jams with drum machines and synthesisers, alienates her sounds with distortion and overloads her organic sets with echo and feedback.
She runs Global Warming Records, an experimental electronic music label that’s home to her own releases, and since 2008 has been producing DriftShift, a weekly radio show on London’s ResonanceFm, from where she regularly broadcasts her analogue techno experiments into space.

It's hard to describe what happens at Atonal Festival... I played an unexpected 6 hours set at Ohm, in front of one of the best crowds i've ever played to. 

It was the perfect opportunity to take some risks and to build a set that travels through genres and tempos. I spent most of the time increasing the bpm and got to play every genre i'm into : techno, bass, jungle, dubstep, electro, dancehall, house, ebm, downtempo... I started at 125bpm, and rose the tempo till 160 bpm, which is the double of 80bpm. So i continued from 80bpm, to 100 and went back to 125bpm again(a 360° mix in other words!). The crowd noise was recorded too.

Big Up to Nathalie from the Atonal crew who played B2B with me for the last 40minutes, thanks to all the dancers who came, you were so connected to the music ! And of course, thanks to Paulo, Laurens, and the Atonal Festival crew for the trust <3. It was sooooooo goooood.
