Very happy to present my contribution to the latest gathering of musical amazingness from Lost In Sound :) Be sure to check out the compilation!! 

From LiS: For the first time ever, we are encouraging but not requiring donations. 100% of these donations will be given to a an incredible organization entitled “Transform Relief”. After the most severe typhoon in recorded history hit the Philippines last November, hundreds of thousands of people have been displaced from their homes and lack access to food, or fresh water. Transform Relief is not only bringing radical aid but empowering people to grow their own food using sustainable practices, and non-GMO, fast growth seeds. We will publish a full feature tomorrow when the compilation is released. 

We feel obligated to use our skills and our large networks of activated youth to help our brothers and sisters who are in great need. A Rude Awakening [LostInSound winter 2014 compilation]

Funkerpump is about cultivating our own voice and learning how to express through that voice.  It's about moving forward into unfamiliar territories, experiencing that which has yet to be experienced.  It's about recognizing an absence in our world, and filling that void through creation.  We owe it to ourselves and to each other to use the independent mind we each possess, to follow our own path, to seek our own truth.  Unborn sounds, sights, feelings, experiences, are not absent from our world because the Universe wishes them to be so, but because it's waiting for you to bring them into being…  

…but then again, it's up to you to decide that for yourself.

You, The Progenitor

“The sorbet is a very tasty treat for those long, hot summer days.”

Sorbet for the Soul is a collaboration between Globular (UK) (www.facebook.com/Globular) and Radioactive Sandwich (USA) (www.radioactivesandwich.com). This project came about from the desire to combine their amazing talents to create a very special conceptual release. Each artist started with the same set of samples and built their tracks around those sounds. Globular cooked up Lemon, while Radioactive Sandwich provided the tasty Mango. They then traded tracks and reinterpreted the other’s original track. Globular created Mamon from Mango, and Radioactive Sandwich created Lengo from Lemon. The end product is a 4 song EP that flows and blends seamlessly, each track containing flavors from the others, much like a tasty summer frozen treat. The artwork was provided by the insanely talented Sid Basu (www.sidbasu.com).
