A live set I wrote and performed for one of the Blue Void series of events at Miscellania, Naarm. For me, this feels like a somewhat significant step in my artistic practice - moving from improvised, effects-heavy performances, to a more through-composed and acoustic, vocal sound. I am super happy with this and am keen to explore more music-making in this direction.

I couldn't help it and i can't deny how good it sounds. this is just an edit to play on my dj sets, and i played it once and everybody wanted it right away. Honestly i was gonna wait to see if Solange or her team or whoever works for her wouldve ask me to do an offical remix so if they still want to, i could make it sound better than that version but ohhhhh, what the hell....
anyways i highly recommend you that new Solange album "A Seat At The Table".

SOLANGE - CRANES IN THE SKY (KAYTRANADA DJ EDIT)

Lifewater Oasis is the collaborative project between Victorian-based musicians Faith Bolton and Simon Gardam.  They create shimmering hazes of electronics, exploring soundscapes that are experimental yet never stray too far from their musicality.  2017 saw the release of their debut LP “June” through Melbourne label Healthy Tapes.
 
 Lifewater Oasis' for Ears Have Ears is titled 'To Cat Stevens, with love.'. Read their explanation below. 
 
'Recorded over two weekends in Victoria’s Goldfields region, “To Cat Stevens, with love” is a collaged arrangement of improvised moments, created using synthesizer and piano.  Hazy in aesthetic yet direct in its meaning, the piece is a display of devotion to our feline friend and guide, who appeared out of the cold thin air one evening when we needed him most.  Thank you, Cat Stevens.'
