After attending a community consultation in her Eglinton West neighbourhood, urban planner Cheryll Case wanted to ensure that the voices of her community were not only heard and respected, but accounted for in the urban planning process. This vision led to  the Black Futures on Eglinton Cultural Mapping Study published by Case's planning firm, CP Planning. The study aims to document the stories of community members and outline the opportunities and barriers to Black residents thriving in Eglinton West. CJRU speaks with Case about the research process, key findings and what she hopes will come from her efforts.
