Hope She Floats is Glowglobes' 2nd album released in 2012

A messy process to record. High hopes going onto a 'real studio' in Cardiff... with unsatisfying results, although getting some decent clarinet from one of the associates here. Lots of disorderly tracks were dumped onto one CD, then taken to friend Rolf Startin's studio in Bournemouth, to sift through & mix. Recording the opening track, After The Overtures, live. Additional instrumentation was added: cello by Barney Morse-Brown & percussion (& other touches) by Rob Bray. The artwork (hoping to source and add) was beautiful depictions of whales & other scenes from beneath the sea, by Richard Cleland.

Glowglobes are John Holmes & Laura Pocket, who made music together 2006-2016

The album was written, performed & recorded at home on their little 8 track machine. Daughter Penelope added vocals on 'Roll Another One'. 'Agatha's Song' as the title suggests, was written & performed by daughter Agatha (aged 6 or 7). Cello by Sarah Moody. 

The tracks were then taken to Ludo Studios in Milton Keynes to be mixed down with Rob Bray, who also added percussion, organ & electric guitar.
