Made with samples from Adam Neely, Ben Levin, Hugo Moroux, as well as my own dulcimer and feedback noises.  My goal here was to have fun with polyrhythms but to not draw too much focus to them and instead build textures with them.

Made for the Ben/Hugo/Fire-Toolz challenge, this piece is inspired by Agnes Martin's 1964 painting "The Tree."  As you approach the painting, what first appears to be a blank canvas reveals careful, yet waveringly human linework. The two lead dulcimer parts going slowly out of phase represent the hand-drawn lines weaving this way and that way.
The rest of the sounds are all samples from the challenge folder stretched, layered, and pitched to create lots of harmony and texture.
