Plattenbau - Dream Objects

Nylon is the darkwave/post-punk project of the Brooklyn/Bogotá duo Pat Friel and Lauren Karstens. The project started in the bedroom of a Philadelphia row home in 2016 as an experiment in shared musical release and trust. The two-piece harness the brooding grooves of gothic synthesizers, lush and sweeping guitars, and hypnotic repetition.

GD Mix 01: Nylon (April 21)

GD Mix 02 features selected tracks by Phoenix-based experimental techno artist Jacob Seaton (C10) who operates Devine Records. The mix reflects and meditates on their relationship with live music in 2019 before our collective experience with music IRL was drastically altered due to the ongoing global pandemic. Exploring rave sounds both new and old, the mix features several artists from Devine Records' roster, including an unreleased track from Alienood (to be released on Devine in July 2021) and from DJ Loser from London (to be released on Devine in late 2021). 
 
Seaton has remixed all of the songs featured in various capacities, then processed them onto tape and beat-matched to their original version, infusing it with old-school rave mixtape grit.

They create music videos and live visuals soaked in kaleidoscopic chroma tidepools. This mix contains songs from friends, collaborators, heroes, and enemies. It's a sonic gesture of goodwill and aspiration.
