Movement Limited caps off a successful first year with a much-anticipated EP from Tash and Forniva. Greek artist and Movement Recordings boss Tash has had a prolific year thus far. Releases via Lowbit Records, Mango Alley, Just Movement and UV Noir have all been standouts, as he continues to tread the waters between progressive and melodic house & techno. Meanwhile, Bosnian artist Forniva first appeared on parent label Movement Recordings in 2018 with a remix of Emi Galvan's excellent 'Dopamine', before going on to appear on the label's popular 'Technical Progress' series later that same year. Fast forward three years and Forniva has become a Movement Recordings stalwart, delivering five originals and a remix across that stretch. Now as 2021 winds to a close Tash and Forniva combine their creative forces for a much-anticipated three-track showcase entitled 'Balkania'.

With a blend of contemporary musical elements, it is the title selection which gets the EP underway. Complementing its tough rolling groove are punchy beats, luminous tones and flurries of indie-inspired drums. Unconventional synth phrasing and dynamic chord stabs marry across a tense first act, before opening up into an effects-laden break and devilish finale.

The second selection 'Palace Of Aegae' follows and finds Tash and Forniva crafting a modern dance floor blueprint once again. Quirky hooks blanket the driving, drum-heavy groove, as buzzing synth motifs flow through the framework. Building tension further, the second of two breaks allows the distinctive lead to breathe, keeping rhythmic flow locked, while smoothly segueing into a stripped-down drop and electric final movement.

The release concludes with the emotive sounds of 'Tribe Of Sithones'. Fuller and more progressive minded than its predecessors, the duo marry symphonic themes and ghostly vocal elements over key changing grooves and a plethora of neatly manicured drum arrangements. Nostalgic in mood throughout, it is a timely break which resonates most brightly, building to a melodic frenzy and ultimately spearheading a euphoric finale. It rounds out three fresh and inspired tracks from Tash and Starkato, a duo who have made a strong statement with their first ever collaborative EP. Highly recommended.

With 'Atidamana' we are delighted to welcome back Camilo Sanjuan, this time to Gluten Free Records with a couple of fantastic tracks. Camilo has developed a unique style with an unmatched level of craft; a dynamic, groovy, deep, and hypnotic fusion that fits perfectly in any kind of club or outdoor festival.

Sanjuan, who knows a thing or two when it comes to mind-blowing productions, delivers an irresistible track that kicks off with tone-setting, intriguing vibes. It drifts effortlessly through melodies and a groove like no other, while the chopped and dirty effects sit beautifully over the percussive base. Camilo takes it to the next level by adding an extra layer of depth, with vocals that elevate Atidamana's flow without destroying the essence of the main beat. His work deserves to be described as "essential" in any sense of the word.

On the B-side, we have "Masdache" a track that creates a mysterious and eerie feeling from the first moment, as the ambiance and driving keep you moving with tinkling sounds on the edge and some nice sound design effects that keep building to culminate in a melodic groover. Once again the Spanish producer opts for vocals that will make your hair stand on end. Basically, we have the formula for a monumental outro. The majesty with which Camilo unfolds within his productions has no name and can only be categorized with two words: Pure art.

With 'Atidamana' Camilo Sanjuan manages to convey a message of musical relevance sustained in a resounding way to warm the soul. Not to be missed.

Agustin Giri closes a cycle in Surrrealism with "Dystopie II".

The young Argentinian talent puts the finishing touch to his time at Surrrealism with the second part of "Dystopie". 3 original tracks accompanied by 2 magnificent remixes by EdOne and Joone.

"Human Touch" is the track that opens this end of cycle. A strong and forceful bass drum gives the introduction to a catchy melody that leads us to the rawest part of the track with a dark synthesizer and a frenetic rhythm. Agustin warns us that this EP is dedicated to the dancefloor.

"Repeat Till Overload" is the next piece that guides us on the dance journey. A relentless, hammering bass followed by a euphoric melody to complete a high-flying track. The intensity builds over time until the sentimental hatching of a high-tempo track.

"Con.tacto" is the final part of the discourse. A rough bass accompanied by a dynamic melody puts you in front of column-shaking synthesizers. The dynamism of the elements used keeps you always alert to the sounds that come and go. Agustin completes his work in style and establishes himself as an artist of the present and future of our scene.

Joone is the special guest on this occasion to remix "Human Touch". His particular way of understanding music together with his talent and versatility are manifested in this work. Showing off his sonic power, he delights us with an energetic track where the synths intertwine to take us to a state of ecstasy.

EdOne returns home to remix "Con.tacto". Showing his genius when it comes to playing with a chord, looping it in different ways and adding a pad to create a harmony to which a long note bass joins to complete the idea. It ́s over, Ed has done it again.

The cover of this release is also the end of a cycle. We had a surprise in store with our artist Nuria Baena. The intention was to make 2 independent artworks that would make sense when linked together. So it has been, we wanted to transmit the human guilt in the planet destruction. A dystopian world ruled by greed and self-interest.
