SMS is an r&b soul funk trio comprised of real-life married duet, Malice & Mario Sweet with the addition of vocalist Shelby Poole. 

Influenced by classic soul/disco-funk acts of the early '80s like The Gap Band and Zapp, majority of the production is handled by Tall Black Guy, Vitamin D and Jake One.
