We are thrilled to break the silence and present to you our much-anticipated creation, "VA Romanian Art Vol. 4." This extraordinary compilation features not just one, but more than 18 exceptional artists from the ro-minimal music scene. After what seemed like an eternity, we reemerge from the depths of silence with a collection that aims to transport you beyond the ordinary into a realm of genuine emotions and creativity.
During our prolonged hiatus from music, we embarked on an introspective journey, a profound pause that allowed us to step back and contemplate the cacophony of the modern world. It seemed as if the planet spun faster, and in the frenzy of everyday life, we lost sight of the real essence, the soul of music. The taste was replaced with an abundance of sugar-coated sounds, lacking the depth and authenticity that once fueled our passion.

"VA Romanian Art" has become more than just a series of compilations; it has evolved into a tradition—our humble tribute to the thriving ro-minimal music scene. We are proud to say that each edition of "VA Romanian Art" is not only a showcase of talent but also an initiative to promote the growth and diversity of our vibrant community.

For this 6th edition of our "Vinyl Only" series, our loyal friends Christian Burkhardt, Nils Twachtmann and Filou are at the helm and are joined by the experienced Chris Llopis. On the A side, Christian Burkhardt with his track "Rytm Mod" throws his sexy and pumpy house beats while Chris Llopis with his track "Dubster" will make you vibrate with his dancing and catchy bass as he has the secret. On the B-side, Nils Twachtmann with his track "Space Odyssey" and Filou with his track "Sophe" offer you deeper and melodic approaches to a minimal house that will delight purists.

Christian Burkhardt - Rytm Mod

Modeight presents a captivating 4-tracker from the talented DJ and producer Valeria Croft, based in Helsinki. With a unique blend of jazz elements, house, and minimalism, Valeria effortlessly bridges these genres and brings them to the dance culture.
The EP opens with "Kaksi", a low-slung, slow-burning groove that glides with effortless grace, featuring meandering atmospheric tones that induce a positively out-of-body feeling. Next is "Mad Mood", a rhythmically fluid roller, peppered with a cyclical hypnotic sequence and shimmering vocals.
"Pretty Inspiration" showcases a deep, sub-sonic wiggle, carving out a sophisticated and immensely enjoyable sonic journey. The EP wraps up with "Viisi", a track that concludes with a graceful after-hours groove.
In this emphatic release, Valeria Croft brings the heat, making it a perfect fit for Modeight.

Into The Woods London returns with their first VA of the series. They have curated a collection of artists for the heads on this one as they welcome seasoned production warriors, Crihan, Jay Tripwire & Miller and Vlad Arapasu alongside the up and coming t.na. The VA is very much sequenced for the club as Vlad leads this release with an A1 roller made strictly for the dance floor. On the B1 t.na adds something with a little bit more grit as quirky vox drops and a sub filled baseline carry the track throughout. On the inner sides you’ll find the deep and textured craftsmanship from both Jay Tripwire & Miller A2 and Crihan B2 have a palpable effect! In the world of minimal and tech, there is something for everyone here!

Hailing from Cologne, Hans Schaaf first release as Honesty was in 1995 via Space Teddy Recordings.

Since then Schaaf moved to Berlin, performing as part of an improv-jazz band named Gelee Royale, as well as focusing on producing club music under various monikers. Schaff’s best-known pseudonyms, such as Honesty, Honeydrop and a duo named Slope alongside Cabinet founder Daniel Paul, have collectively released on the likes of Room With A View, Cabinet and Sonar Kollektiv.

Burnski is by no means the fresh faced new comer he looks. Despite still being relatively young, he has actually been toiling away, building up an enviable discography and laying down fierce DJ sets for a whole decade and a half. Right from the off he began making a big impact with early releases and has continued to quietly but competently build up momentum ever since. The upshot of this is that he is now at the point where he is a mainstay on the underground scene around Europe and beyond.

As a DJ, Burnski aims to mix the old with the new, is still a passionate vinyl hoarder and spends plenty of time digging deep for sounds and styles a mile away from the ordinary: if he didn’t, he wouldn’t be able to boast regular gigs at places like DC10 in Ibiza, Fabric in London, Rex Club in Paris and Watergate in Berlin, all of which find him weaving together tracks that make you want to dance as well as making you feel something deep down inside.

In the wake of early, standout career hits, Burnski is now crafting darker, more stripped back and rawer output. Today, we premiere Burnski's hypnotic interpretation of DJ Honesty's 'Schillerkiez', featuring a low-slung groove and added vocal to the already infectious synth hook.
