Born October 26 1989 in Brooklyn NY FoKuS spent most of his childhood in Brooklyn Projects better known as the Pharcyde, which is where he gained his passion for music with inspirations from his uncle Christopher Downer aka DJ Chris. As your average kid from Brooklyn he enjoyed playing basketball among other activities with his friends. “Growing up in the projects taught me a lot and also allowed me to grow up faster then I intended to. My parents have done an amazing job especially my mother with the help of my grandparents and others. His appreciation for his family’s work ethic instilled a determination in him that thrives to this day.
