Homebreakin Records steps forth with another strong release on their successful imprint, Punchout Recordings. This four tracker EP from UK born and Boston Massachusetts based, Ben Adams, better known as GMGN, is guaranteed to please the ears of disco citizens all over the globe. Starting things off is, “We Got Now”, featuring vocals from San Fran based Opey Tha Poet. This smooth Disco/Hip Hop influenced gem has everything from beefy party starting drums, to violins and flutes, to a vocal by Opey that when combined with the aforementioned elements, makes this jam something very special. Up next is the barn-burner, Trip To The Three (Casterta Remix). With remixes on such labels such as Soul Clap and Razor N Tape, this up and comer definitely didn’t disappoint. With a popping bass line, a throbbing rhythm and a perfect use of the vocal, Caserta quite possibly has created the house track of the spring. Up next, is GMGN’s original version. A slower disco burner with atmospheric embellishments and a melody solidly leading the groove, this original will surely be warming up dance-floors for many months to come. The Brand New Heavies - Never Stop (GMGN Mix)

Boston, Massachusetts-based Brit Ben Adams has previously contributed tracks to Midnight Riot compilations, so it's little surprise to see him being given a full EP on which to showcase his wares. Under the GMGN guise, Adams has developed a sound that joins the dots between surging, party-friendly house, disco re-edits, and punchy, electro-influenced breaks. That fun-time, floor-friendly blend is evident through the five tracks here, from the sweaty bump of opener "Make Lemons Not War", to the bustling, bass music-influenced disco-house throb of "Senior Runner". Arguably the best of a strong bunch of "Striped Red", which sees Adams' make merry with weighty beats, crunchy looped guitars, tweaked filter effects and some seriously heavy horn solos.

Juno Review:
Those with good memories may remember GMGN's first outing on Midnight Riot, 2015's Striped Red EP. It was something of a party-starting affair, with the Boston-based producer gleefully joining the dots between surging house, dusty disco, and punchy, electro-influenced breaks. This follow-up is similar in ethos, but sticks more closely to a sample heavy disco-house blueprint. First he works the filters hard on sweet shuffler "Check That Attitude", before letting the orchestration and vocals flow on the similarly minded "The Feeling's Right" (which, it seems, doffs a rather large cap to Michael Jackson). Finally, he reaches for the rubbery disco-funk bass on the chunky, undercover bounce of "In The Groove".

GMGN (Good Morning Good Night) is the production/DJ moniker of Ben Adams. Originally hailing from the UK, Ben now calls Boston his home. A champion of house and disco, he is a co-founder and resident at Grassfed Disco (a bi-monthly disco party nominated for party of the year at the Boston Music Awards) and radio host on Brooklyn's Face Radio.
