Today's premiere comes from Dublin's own James Cherry. The now Amsterdam-based DJ and producer releases his first ever full-length album titled 'Orb Weaver' on his own label 'Exile Instinct'. This release acts as a major landmark for James as he showcases his own signature sound within the realm of techno. The album is made up of 11 original productions along with a remix from Cyd.

James Cherry's Orb Weaver project has taken years to get to this point. To release an album on your own label is no easy feat for any artist. Having released on imprints such as Drvms, Corpus Records, Subsist, Delinquent Delivery and more over the year's which aided in his progression to getting to this point, he finally gets to see his concept turn into reality.

The album in its entirety spans 12 tracks that traverse a wide range of atmospheres, textures and emotions. Emitting a sincere listening experience that feels similar to a story, it encompasses different flavours within the techno genre. This ranges from deep, driving hypnotic cuts to more emotive and introspective compositions that can be heard throughout this remarkable body of work.

Today's premiere focuses primarily on 'The Poet's Pulse'. Acting as one of the driving tracks of the overall release, The Poet's Pulse showcases trippy vocals alongside some melodic synth lines which can be heard throughout the Orb Weaver album. These core elements combined with the tracks swinging drumwork make for a ferociously catchy yet psychedelic-sounding addition to an already stacked release.

DEAD CERT. Records is a label linked to the well known website deathtechno.com ran by Jack! Who? in the UK. A diverse palette has seen previous releases feature artists including Petter B, Paul Mac, TWR72, Echoplex, Eomac and more.

Felipe Párraga aka Saurio is an emerging artist from Bogotá, Colombia who returns to DEAD CERT. with a four-track EP following outstanding VA appearances that included hypnotic trips such as "Cheap Metaphysics" and "Algerian." His music has also been featured on labels like Bruno Ledesma's Concepto Hipnotico, Syrte aka Stefan Weise's Science Cult, Diffuse Reality, Warok Music, Korpus 9, Parabola and more.

Opening with "The Nocturn," the abstract sound design is as bizarre as it is catchy and tense all at once. Setting an unmistakable mood of creativity and function, this crazy weapon is ready to melt all corners of the dance floor.

"Ethereal Boundaries" presents a more delicate and hypnotic approach. Using quirky, tribal percussion and shimmering notes around droning elements and a chugging bassline it has an engrossing, dystopian aesthetic.

The third of four tracks launches straight into a raw, thundering groove on "Reptoid Moon." A volatile and intense juggernaut that captivates the mind with its slicing, mechanical and modular groans creating a moody, mesmerising vibe.

Closing with "Corrupted Light" and its ripping style made of powerful rhythms, this sonic tapestry is avant-garde as well as purist. Phasing and sweeping foundations add a dark, sci-fi feeling alongside cyclical elements for tremendous impact.
