I Get the Message

This was a b-side we used for a split 7" with Menomena back in 2010. I believe the 7" might even still exist on Barsuk online store here: http://www.barsuk.com/w3.cgi?vwy=shop/bark098

This was actually the first song we wrote during the recording process of Negotiations. Benjamin was playing around with the idea of using a soft synth (Omnisphere) for the entire record and was using his first Omnisphere created backing track to test A/D converters on drums - hence the name "Converter". Although the song helped us choose the converter we used for drums (a now replaced Apogee AD16x), we ended up going a completely different sonic/emotional direction for Negotiations and Omnisphere was quickly replaced by an Oberheim Xpander, Ensoniq ESQ-1, Korg EX-8000 and Studio Electronics ATC-Xi.
