We are excited to introduce the fourth instalment from Abstrakt Dance, the new imprint of UK house luminaries Colin Dale and Jules Dickens. The ethos behind the label is the same as Colin’s seminal Kiss FM radio show, push the sonic boundaries of Detroit house, techno, electronica and everything in between.

Thomas Gandey needs no introduction. The enigmatic UK-born, Bordeaux and Berlin resident DJ, producer and vocalist also known as Cagedbaby has a never-ending list of club hits under his belt, both standalone and on collaborative projects with artists including Hot Since 82 or Radio Slave, as well as producer credits with none other than David Byrne.

With his new production, ‘I Wanna Know’, Thomas goes deep and dark with twisted vocals peppered around dark synths, relentless rhythm section and spaced out pads, to create a unique atmosphere powered by a menacing bassline and heavy kickdrum.

On remix duties we have two London based DJs and producers rapidly rising through the local scene. Philipp Ort and Scott D’Souza are taMe and here they bring their techno influenced and percussive-led sound to Thomas’s original, giving it some extra kick for those peak time moments.

My foot of shards comes back to the day, 
there at home, where steps enter and leave, 
where the world meets at the station and sets out.
My heart laughs. Love, love - I love myself 
and know the air closer to the heavens. 
I trust in luck, it returns and throws me further into laughter. 
Discover the deliciousness, enjoy the secret! 
My step goes along, fills up with sun, resident on the solar road.
My house was empty and homeless. Now it fills up, filling me. 
I already see the blessings, which preceded my step. 
I see my aim on the horizon, morning-red
and turn the foot on parting, hop the low wall, 
because there is nothing more from the tower containing me, 
just a few handful of stones, stacked, 
and every breath blows them down.
Earth strength pure, my heavy foot pushs off, starts walking. 
Borderland familiar and cold night. 
I leave behind and know me free, 
free to choose everything within me and decide. 
I feel the war outworn for a long time, 
homecoming was long ago, shades passed. 
Only the rear gives stuff again. 
Now I am fit, I lean into the day, roll up my thinking, 
I lace mind, backpack and shoes, however, walking stick they are not.
